I applaud your effort to scrutinize these statistics. Far too often people take what’s written as gospel. Reductive statistics is a complicated game that can result in a lot of misrepresentation.

There is one thing that will make that a reality. A cheap, efficient, and environmentally friendly battery. If someone can make one, it will revolutionize everything to do with power.

I think the issue is credibility. Running around yelling that the "vagina tax" is $500,000 does little to convince people when it is easily refuted.

The gender wage gap definitely exists. The problem is that there's a lot more going on than a "vagina tax." When you get into education, work-life balance, industry preferences, etc. you're dealing with issues which get complicated quickly.

Compensation is not this simple. Economists argue about it still. There's lots of factors to take into account. The more factors that are included, typically the gap lowers. I'm not arguing that the pay gap doesn't exist, it's just often overstated by simplistic analysis.
