Totally my first pick. Kids need to know that governments can go to far and the people are both victims and saviors in that time. Blind obedience is problematic, and you should fight if you have to for a worthwhile goal.

It's a good novel, but the last thing we need is MORE juvenile delinquents running around in V masks.

Obviously a great one, and we'd be able to quickly single out the truly bright kids who finish it and observe the irony that it was mandated ("required") reading by a state-run education-propaganda system.

V for Vendetta. Really, a lot of Moore's graphic novels would be great, but this would be a great companion piece for "1984," if you wanted to do a dystopia package.

Lost was a more satisfying experience for people who tuned into for the great characters in crazy situations. The mystery nuts were always going to be disappointed in the series. I realized somewhere around the three-toed statue that the show would never answer its questions. So I got my enjoyment from the flashbacks,

The ending was polarizing, but to be honest, LOST writers ended the show after six seasons like they said they would. Once I divorced myself from the unsolved mysteries and embraced the idea that the final season is about the characters getting closure, the ending was a thousand times more satisfying.

I actually hated season 6 of Burn Notice, but season 7 regained its footing, still managed to explore new territory, and ended in a very satisfactory way.

Look I know this is my answer to every open thread, but it has to be Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Has to be Breaking Bad for me. They told the story they wanted to tell and got out while the show was at the height of its popularity.

I wish you guys would just give a brief text summary of the video when you run articles like this one that are basically just an embedded video. In this case, summarizing the tricks the video outlines. I realize this will take away from the video's views and add to your workload, but when I read io9, I'm almost never

There's a critical factor that the researchers seem to be leaving out here: What kind of candy was it?

I actually had alot of fun watching this pro bowl..

That was actually a pretty good game. I know it doesn't mean anything, but at least people were playing.

Agreed. Very entertaining game. Deadspin not giving it any attention is a bummer but not unexpected. After all, gifs of college basketball coaches swearing and updates on the Grammys (music is a sport?) are much more important.

We can laugh all we want about the Pro Bowl, but that was the most fun i have had watching it in years. The new format plus the one on one coverage really made the game fun. Seeing teammates hit each other really brought out a different game in them.

This probowl actually managed to make itself interesting. I guess somehow Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders picking teams improved it? How does that happen?

My bizarre secret fear is that a large percent of humanity is telepathic, and they spend their time gossiping and laughing at those of us who aren't.
