Well it’s basically gambling, let’s be honest. The only thing separating this from online poker is that in cases like this and Ultimate Team, you have no way of ever seeing a real return on your investment.

Fucking crazy. I play OW a few times a week and the only crates I get are those that drop for free whenever I level up, complete an objective etc. I couldn’t imagine paying money for one, it’s not like they even contain anything that’s actually useful.
Wait, do people actually buy these things?
this will also probably strike a heavy blow to sketchy gray market sites like G2A
I’m just going to point out here that if what you said had an ounce of truth to it then the PS4 Pro wouldn’t exist.
IMO SA tried too hard to introduce RPG-inspired realism elements and didn’t do it all that well. Probably the reason why most of those ideas (e.g. maintaining character fitness) have been absent from every GTA game since then.
I’m glad that at least someone agrees with me that Vice City was the best GTA of the PS2 age. San Andreas was always hugely overrated IMHO.
You’re wrong but it’s ok. Let’s just leave it there.
I bought it in the steam sale last christmas but after trying and failing to parallel park a space ship for over 40 minutes I finally gave in and accepted that it wasn’t for me. Fortunately refunding it was nice and simple.
Steins; Gate is $30 I think, not $3.
I don’t really do Nintendo anymore but everyone I know who has one of things seems to like it.
Really? Has this thing been on the horizon for that lot for months?
Really? Show me where a phonetic L pronunciation shows up anywhere in hiragana, katakana or kanji. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Like EVE and Player Unknown Battlegrounds, this is a game I will never be able to fully understand or play properly but I just love reading about stuff like this.
Yes I know, however changing the name XL to LL for Japan isn’t a translation. It’s more of a cultural localisation.
No, XL would just mean something bad. The X character in Japanese means like failure or regression.
Whenever I read about GTA IV it makes me sad that the Ballad of Gay Tony is probably the last great piece of GTA DLC that we will ever see.
It’s not translation as such, it is more related to how Japanese culture perceives the X character.
Oh I know why they’ve done it. The letter X has negative connotations in Japanese culture. That’s why it’s usually replaced with a Circle on application forms etc when someone is indicating positive. Interestingly it’s also why the X and O functions on the Japanese PlayStation controller are reversed.
I was just…
What translation? Japanese doesn’t even use the letter L for fuck’s sake.
