I personally dislike the PS4 but I think you’re probably right on that one. Having a mid to high end gaming PC and an Xbox One is all but a waste of time and money in 2017.

My god, this generation is turning into a real mess. How many more half-generation leaps are we going to see shoehorned into the next 5-7 years?
It has since expanded to the likes of Xbox Live though.
Of course although the idea of someone pausing ‘midwank’ to post a comment on Kotaku is actually slightly disturbing.
Exactly. IMHO people need to start seeing it as an investment rather than a pre-order that comes with beta access.
By his last game are you referring to DayZ or the first one he did after that as an independent?
No that’s Marble Zone.
I have to admit that it has been a long time since I played but when I last did DayZ was still a fucking mess. I’ve been told that is mostly due to the engine being completely unfit for the kind of game that it is but I’ve never looked into it in any serious way tbh.
Well anybody who backs this probably deserves to lose their money on it. I certainly wouldn’t and in fact I don’t really do Early Access in general anymore but I don’t think Dean Hall is any worse than most other indie developers out there at the moment.
Wow, really? Why do you consider him a pervert?
How is he a con artist?
He’s abandoned 1 game really and that isn’t all to uncommon for a new indie studio.
Can I just point out by the way that I first misread your name as “midwank” and that made me exert some immature laughter.
Microsoft don’t even allow proper cross-platform play on Gears of War 4. I very much doubt they’d allow it for Destiny 2.
Now the key question is will this be Steamworks or are Activision going to try to push some awful “Bungie Net” DRM client alongside it?
In a good way though. A seriously good way. I’m overjoyed about this.
OK thank you, you just made me want to watch Fight Club again this weekend.
I’m kind of glad that I took a rain check on buying Andromeda at launch now. As a huge Mass Effect fan that wasn’t something that I was expecting to do either. I expected to cave at the last minute but the reviews persuaded me not to.
Then you really have to play it with your friends. The good news at least is that the penalties for death in this game are next to nothing and in fact with the right vehicle it can really piss your opponents off. Every time someone destroys my supercharged armored Kuruma it costs them a considerable chunk of cash.
Actually that does still happen in other regions (mostly parts of Asia). It just doesn’t happen in the US and Europe, probably because Sony don’t need to push online services quite so hard in the west.
