Why does the US have ballots on a weekday instead of a weekend?? From my perspective as an Australian (our votes always take place on a Saturday), the US systems seems like it was designed to make it harder for the average working Joe to allocate time to make it to a polling station.

Wikipedia has him born in 1942, so today would have been his 70th birthday, not 80th.

But say I am on the spaceship traveling away from our Galaxy, I have reached near light speed and am now coasting. Why couldn't it be said it is now the spaceship that is standing still and it is the Galaxy that is traveling away from the spaceship at near light speed?

So if your coasting in a spaceship at near light speed then shine a torch out the front window, then wouldn't the light emitted from the torch be traveling at near double light speed?
