I wonder if they over expanded the past few years though going to an Alamo Drafthouse is preferable than going to an AMC theater.

Strange days indeed. The comments are still gone from The Takeout, but that site got bought by a different company and it hasn’t been updated since yesterday. It might take a while for the AV Club to de-Kinja itself.

The only way to stop a bad guy with a front loader is a good guy with a front loader.

With the way G/O Media has been going Comment of the Day is an endangered species!

The Takeout got bought by Mashed’s parent company which means it will go downhill shortly.

Yeah, this is some SEO garbage. I would be surprised if the rest of the G/O sites aren’t sold in the next month.

I remember when Deadspin Up All Night! would have like a thousand comments.

I think all the comment sections will be gone shortly either by the Herb turning them off or by the sites being sold. I just want to say it was a pleasure reading your comments over the years here, io9 and the Takeout.

Yeah, only two sites left with comments sections. The comment sections were the bread and butter of these sites when Gawker still owned them. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the sites are sold.

Damn, this seems sketchy as hell since they’re collecting your personal info without any consent. They grab your MAC address by connecting to your phone’s Wi-Fi even if you don’t connect to their billboard.

I wonder what kind of barrier would be needed to stop a ship of that size? It might not be feasible.

Remember when there was only a ten cent difference between each tier of gas? Now it’s 40-50 cents per gallon.

It also has the excellent TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. The touchscreen controls aren’t great, but you can play with a controller.

I wonder if he still has that house.

In a theater by yourself with your pants around your ankles?

Surprisingly, Madame Web is still in the theaters! It made $83K in 172 theaters. You still have a few days to watch this cinematic masterpiece the way it’s supposed to be seen.

I made the mistake of going to Kotaku in Action and it was the worst subreddit I’ve seen in a while.

Thanks for the info. It’s weird that articles still show a comment count, but the comments don’t show up. Pretty soon, there’s not going to be anything left of G/O media.

I don’t think I would buy pre dyed Easter eggs.

By the brief look at the coffin, it appears that Jeffrey Jones’ character has died. Given his arrest and subsequent legal problems, it’s not surprising that he isn’t coming back.
