When other G/O sites were sold, they were still on Kinja for a month or two after the sale before they switched to new platforms. The company that bought Jalopnik, Static Media, doesn’t have comments on any other of the sites they own so I’m hoping that the delay is so that they can figure out how to add a comment

Is anyone else surprised that Jalopnik is still on the Kinja platform? I figured that there would have been a changeover not long after it was sold like the other G/O sites that were sold, but it’s been over two months. I guess there will be a changeover sometime in the new year.

A $50K Nissan crossover seems like a terrible financial decision.

I learned yesterday that CarMax started out as a subsidiary of Circuit City. It’s definitely a case where the spin off was more successful than the parent company.

I blame Flo!

No thanks. If I want a classic Bronco, I’m going with a bullnose.

They are! They are just so generic looking that you forget about them five seconds after you see it.

Mambo Number 5 >>> DS N°8

I wouldn’t go on an adventure with it. ND.

In-pimp-ception!

The Dorito lives!

I think only some of the Toyota hybrids are going for over MSRP now.

I can’t fight this feeling anymore, this is a nice price!

Now that Jalopnik has been sold to Static, how much longer do you think they will be on the Kinja platform? When other former G/O media sites were sold, they were on Kinja for around 3-6 weeks after the sale.

A quick look at the other websites that they own including Mashed, Slashfilm and Grudge show that none of their websites have a comment section so the era of Kinja comments will soon be over. I’m guessing that G/O media will sell their remaining sites within the next six months. Kotaku is a shell of what it once was

Yes. By me BP is usually the most expensive gas station so this discount might make their price comparable to other gas stations in the area.

Credit card chargeback.

Without Back to the Future, DeLorean DMC-12s would have been completely forgotten which would be a shame. Then again, Elon would have probably picked a different material for the Cybertruck so it’s a wash.

An international treasure if you will!

The 2025's start at $26000 and the used prices on these are so high it makes sense to buy new.
