At least they decided to keep the story in the late 50's/early 60's timeframe like the original musical and movie. A movie about singing and dancing street gangs set in contemporary times would be odd. Even though there’s a ton of great songs in the musical, my favorite is still the prologue.

However, that seems unlikely since it would cost a lot of money to do properly. It’s just an idea that I’ve kicked around for a while.
Even with the intro, this was still one short episode. It clocked in at just over 38 minutes when other episodes will run 41-42 minutes. If you take out the intro, it was around 37 minutes. I wonder if it was a budget issue or they just didn’t have enough material.
Just like a bat out of hell, he’ll be gone before the morning comes.
Yeah, a guy who puts down a reservation for a first year truck from a new manufacturer that may or may not be vapor ware is probably not a sound decision maker.
I’m guessing $85-90k.
