I’m shocked. Shocked. Absolutely no one could have anticipated this turn of events.

Fair indeed! My misreading there.

Noma is a Danish restaurant

Every single dish described here sounds fucking disgusting.

I first learned of this fellow from his committed use of local, findable, greens and other items from the soil and sea. But your point is accurate - he’s got at least a nine-month wait-list, the bill there for 2 would, I guess, exceed $1000 easily each time if one drinks, chefs are wishing to work there from all over

Let’s do some math: First, we’ll double the $500 for the wine pairing, then we’ll assume 100 covers/night and multiply that by 300, which gives us a gross of 30 million/year, which yeah.

“Nobody wants to work anymore. I mean, these beetles aren’t gonna fruit leather themselves.”

“The problem is how to pay [the employees] enough to afford children, a car and a house in the suburbs.”

I haven’t seen The Menu but isn’t this The Menu?

I’m going to take stab in the dark and assume Mr. Chef doesn’t live in a modest house in the suburbs, where his children attend a public school.

It’s Youtube Music. You can’t actually play Youtube videos on Android Auto. (Not without tweaking it anyway)

It was the early “death metal band logo you can’t read”.

Man, Marx really went through the whole list of fonts on Word to find some of the craziest ones. Reminds me of 8th grade me making cool posters using Snap ITC and Curlz.

I would have to go with a copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, for it scores over the other, more pedestrian options in two important respects:
First, it is slightly cheaper; and secondly it has the words DON’T PANIC inscribed in large friendly letters on its cover.

i would choose this just to see them melting down:

Getting the news involved when a company gives you the run-around is not some new social media thing. ABC7 has been doing this for years. It is often the only way to get a result.

I don’t disagree. These things happen. The United rep is just working with the information available and isn’t omniscient.

I don’t doubt what you say, but it really doesn’t explain the apartment complex. No employee of such an organization should ever be allowed to take bags home. Period. And you can’t have you’re employee’s sending texts with things like ‘Imma’ in them either. Really bad look there.

Why would a service that is supposed to deliver lost luggage have a bunch of bags outside in/near the garbage of a random apartment building, still tagged to the airline and presumably empty?

Organized baggage theft ring? Run by the people that are responsible for working in baggage and lost luggage. As soon as they suspected they were about to be discovered, they “found” her bag and communicated with her outside of official channels and told their bosses, “yeah I don’t know what she was talking about,
