I’ve had 2 Mierna IUD insertions and 2 removals. The first was at a PP where I worked at the time. They told me to take 800 mg of Ibuprofen 30 minutes before. I was at work, did as instructed, they called me down and then I got my IUD and went right back to work. I’d classify it as a 6/10 on the discomfort scale, but

IUD insertion is indeed incredibly painful. I was told it would be “some pressure.” While it was really more like an ice pick to the uterus.

The funny thing is that Smucker is complaining about using a “bite” but theirs doesn’t even look like a bite, it looks like a curved cut was made to show what’s inside.

It seems laughable that a trademark could be issued for the shape of a food item. There are competitors to Hostess Fruit Pies, Ding Dongs and even Oreos. Maybe simply burn or mold the trademarked Smuckers logo onto the top & bottom of the “sandwich” to eliminate confusion for the poor, dumb humans who ignore it on the

This is unbelievable. It’s time to put a stop to big jelly.

Impossible! White children don’t use drugs. They are the scions of the Mastur Rayce! What would they need of anti-drug funding? Their parents are True ‘Muricans™ who live in quiet, safe neighborhoods, go to church and have sock hops. They would never allow drugs in their home! Are you telling me the White community

I suspect that some (misguided) people that feel he deserves more scorn because he was married, while she was already in the process of divorce.

Of course she’s getting sympathy.  She’s a white woman.  He’s not white, hence he deserves the scorn.  /s

The only part of the AP article that stated what the grant was to be used for is:

It’s fine if the increase is in fact an appropriate share to make up for the loss of gas tax payments, and is directed to the same funds gas tax payments are. It’s not fine if the x3 increase is a number pulled out of their asses and the money isn’t going to fix roads.

Thats every year. To spend 200 in gas tax you would have to have a car that avg 15mpg and drive it 12000 miles a year. or a 30mpg drive 24000 miles a year. or 25mpg drive 20000 miles. Or a 35mpg car drive 28000.

Tire tax is clever, although I’m leery of adding incentives for people to be driving with dangerously low tread to delay paying for expensive tires.

It’s eventually going to have to be a miles-driven tax, which would be the ultimate expression of fairness.

Is this why  so many conservative governments have pushed back on EV usage? I get “PR” around the oil industry, but has the real concern just been lack of tax dollars? I never thought about this loss of tax revenue until today.

No relation to the 2010 Norwegian movie Trollhunter? If you haven’t seen it, it’s surprisingly entertaining.

Of course the Norwegian Godzilla would be a troll.

This is a good but small first step. My wife works for a company that has a document shared with the entire company that lists everyone’s salary, including the CEO and founders. It helps prevent wage disparity but it also helps with upward mobility. If you have a salary goal, you can look to see who makes that and

The amount of secrecy around pay in the corporate world is maddening. There’s nothing worse than having a hiring manager after hiring manager dance around the issue of compensation, saying that’s HR’s role and not theirs, investing the time and energy to get past the second or third interview, finally getting a job
