Shockingly (pardon the pun) the Chevy BOLT currently outsells the Model S and X combined (not hard considering the price differential). the Model 3 is not yet even shipping until the middle of 2018, due to “Production Hell” as Musk put it.

Your powers of exaggeration are entertaining but are quite the opposite of enlightening. I’m sure if I had an axe to grind or I was just selling out to TESLA to be “one of the cool kids” I might spend my time thinking of ways to say something is unimaginably worse, given the gross inconsistency with reputable sources…
Since you are pulling about 100% power (Actually 100% is impossible without superconductors) and is being compared to the actual total energy content in a given volume of fuel, it is still equal to just short of 3 gallons of fuel.
No. In that case, if true and not “I Love EVs” pining and whining, is just an arbitrary number Tesla asked for and not the EPA stuck them with. Thus you need to question Tesla on that and the the EPA. As you say it, the EPA wanted to give Tesla a better number. So, what is Tesla hiding?
You do realize that was NOT what I was talking about right? Try reading the whole comment before responding to one sentence in it.
Why? 310 miles is actually a usable number. 126mpge is garbage bureaucracy math. But it has the sad effect to telling you just how little energy Batteries hold (just a bit under 3 gallons of fuel) and how much energy current ICE technology wastes.
Tesla has 14 years of even greater disappointments and absolutely shoddy build quality that would make FCA wince. and should worry about having to be compared to others by those who are not apt to kiss their [butts].
I think you set your up for “Oh and the ‘I can’t didn’t want to read that’ tactic”. Enough snark. If I go into this, I’ll just make myself unnecessarily upset. However, there are less aggravating ways of saying “Long is long”.
And when GM at least plays with the idea of making it more flamboyant, seemingly everyone says “EW! It’s ugly don’t do it!”
You don’t have to copy paste the one excuse you have for objecting. I don’t doubt GM counted beans to see how to liquidate the Commodore. It a bad habit GM still has.
I think someone needs to read the comment they are responding to again. I only commented on fan sentiment, not a market actuality.
The SS (Commodore VF) “failed” because they did nothing that Pontiac did for the G8 (Commodore VE). The G8 had a V6 and V8 options with Auto or manual, a lower starting price and was bouncing off as a redundant model in the line up. It was parked between the Bonneville (Full sized car) and G6 (midsize car), as large…
Part of the appeal of the SS is that it does not stick out like sore thumb. Why people want their performance cars to automatically be slightly more obnoxious than t day-glow Lamborghini, is frankly beyond me. The vast majority of buyers might actually want a performance car but they do not want it to scream…
And this at a time when FORD was mulling over making a car to compete with the Pontiac Fiero. Well... more like a car that would take it straight to the Porsche 911-930. Detroit misses yet another easy win. A Production version that was under $30K back then would have been steep but not unaffordable.
It’s a CAD drawing, not a 3d CGI for a video game or movie.
If they keep production numbers relatively low, sure.
At least until you have to take a corner with any speed.
Why promise teh moon with a car? That is what Space X is for.
It is hard to imagine that if you are going to through the level of work and research of design and execution needed for something like “Cuphead”, you are not going to be made very aware of the Racism of the day. I mean that is basically why we don’t see unabridged “Loony Toons” and “Tom and Jerry” cartoons, to name a…
They are not five years old. and they are not mentally impaired. At that Age I knew better than you jump out from behind a parked vehicle before crossing the street.
