Mia's haircut in that movie is seminal, so of course everyone is going to focus on the hair of an actress playing that role in a movie. They should have either actually cut Zoe's hair or just left it long/medium length to avoid the comparison all together.
Yeah, I think they meat hyaluronic acid. Or collagen.
Wow!
I want to grab her little cheeks and smush her face and kiss her. She is so damn cute.
What if I want to eat that little girl like a cookie? Seriously....those big eyes!!! What a cutie.
I hadn't thought about moving sports practices to the mornings but I agree with this proposal. It'll also give the kids scheduling practice for their adult life, trying to slate in time at the gym before work starts at 8 or 9. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking? I approve.
probably because LW2 knows that marina and other people will assume that the reason they don't want marina there is because of her transition, when in fact it's about marina's history with LW2 and the other girl, and how to best address that?
Teacher here—-a thousand times yes to this! Teenagers aren't lazy—they have different circadian rhythms. Frankly, it's amazing to me how many do okay 1st period when they are fighting to bring their systems online.
why would she objectify her close friends suddenly just because they were naked?
because it's different to still be friend with someone that you dated or that made lewd passes at you, in a more casual social setting where everyone is clothed. it's another if you're doing a more 'intimate' thing where everyone is naked, like going to a bathhouse. you have to be very comfortable with someone for…
really? even though marina had a relationship with one of the women there and it might make that friend uncomfortable to be naked in a bathhouse with an ex? and even if marina made lewd advances at LW2 in the past, making it equally uncomfortable for her to be naked in a bathhouse with marina? i don't think this has…
Honestly, the person who threatens to ditch the entire social group because they're left out of a single outing is the one who sounds toxic. That level of drama isn't surprising, given her lack of boundaries if a third party had to lay down the law to get her to stop harassing the LW. Sometimes, it has nothing to do…
It might be that the LW put up with the lewdness when Marina was in her social circle, but doesn't feel comfortable getting naked around her. I wouldn't want to go to a spa with a cis woman who hit on me and made me uncomfortable either. I do agree it's a sign the friendship has probably run its course though.
I also wonder if maybe Marina's past lewd behavior was maybe due to struggling with her gender identity? I can see why a transgender woman, while discovering and figuring out their real identity, might worry about how their peers would react and therefore act in a hyper-masculine way as a way to divert attention.
Here's the thing, though... all that guy did was increase the number of times he went out on a date. The fact that it took him the better part of 100 "first dates" is indicative of how little what he did actually refined the process.
I think the men's poster is supposed to be a subversion of the saying, "A woman's place is in the kitchen," not a purposeful reference to sexism among male chefs (though it's clearly tone deaf to that reality, which is another kind of problem).
I just needed an excuse to post this. It's everything.
my dad, 50-yr-old down to earth stoner, could care less about celebs or pop culture about anything other than Neil Young, but he just moved to nyc and lives on the same block as Cameron (her boyfriend maybe?). they've ended up walking their dogs at the same time of day on a pretty regular basis, and she has officially…
Her and Drew seem like two people who are just genuinely nice and down to earth, who I would muchly like to be my best friends. She seems really sweet and dorky too, which is endearing. I think I might just need to pick this book up..
