So I'm still super confused by this. If I don't have the original Dragon's Dogma, and I buy the retail disc of Dark Arisen, am I getting the full original game, enhanced with the new content? Some of the wording here makes Dark Arisen sound like an expansion that I can dive into without having played the original game

Xseed are our friends.

From the standpoint of a consumer, it makes total sense. The longer you wait, BL2 will only increase the amount of content you get for your money, and popular Western games from large publishes are rarely, if ever, difficult to find. NNK, on the other hand, will only rise in price and shrink in availability as time

Ni No Kuni.

Totally. The announcement was last Wednesday. It's the good folks at Xseed whom you have to thank. Same people who brought us The Last Story. They deserve SO MUCH of my money.

Have you seen the Black one from MH3 Ultimate yet? Super badass.

Aye. It was announced last week from our friends at Xseed.

Diablos from Monster Hunter are crazy nasty. As are Rathalos, Lagiacrus, etc. etc.

This is from Monolith. The same folks who brought you Xenoblade Chronicles, Xenosaga, and Baten Kaitos. The company has ALOT of immigrants from old Squaresoft, specifically from the teams responsible for Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears. I hope that helps ease some of your fears.

True enough. I'll be snagging that one as well.

I just watched a trailer. Haken's definitely there, along with princess. Super Cool.

You're totally right. Fire Emblem does belong on that list. Project X-Zone is an SRPG with more in common with Fire Emblen than the rest of the games that I listed anyway, so it'd be silly to exclude it. I've got that one on preorder too. :)

Yeah. I'm not greedy. I'll take what I can get. The presence of anything Super Robot Taisen related makes me giddy. I'm pretty sure people from New Frontier are in this too, although I don't recall seeing Haken . . . which would make me equally delighted.

Glad to see I'm not the only person excited for Sanger. It's so cool that he's in this.

First Pandora's Tower is announced for the US, now this. Ni No Kuni. Etrian Odyssey IV. SMT: Soul Hackers, the eventual promise of Tales of Xillia.

Given my reputation around here (under my old name, MrGilder) it just wouldn't be right for me to not post a picture of my favorite game world. My home away from home. Wild Arms' Filgaia.

Breaks. My. Heart.

That's my general strategy too. I did buy the original version, because I couldn't wait on account of being a big Elder Scrolls fan . . . but I already sold that copy for a good amount of money, which I've set aside for the GoTY. I'm waiting for Bordlerlands 2, Dishonored, and X-Com. You can really get a feel for

Don't make the same mistakes as Timothy Treadwell! Their cuteness is just the bait that they use to lure you in, so that they can eat you.

Yeah I do. 4 to 6 seems to be the going number for large-scale expansions on Bethesda games. It was even less for Oblivion, unless you count the dinky Wizard's Tower, and other such smaller packs. Given the age of Skyrim now, I think that Redguard being the end of things is a reasonable deduction.
