No idea. It's been doing the rounds online for a while now. I certainly hope that it is.

lol. It was the best picture that occurred when I Googled "Patiently Waiting." My wife calls me Bear, so it was a perfect fit.

Good. Good. 1 more expansion to go, then the patient wait for the GoTY edition truly begins.

There have been rumors circulating for a long time the the SE is holding back in order to release a single-cart (as opposed to dual UMD), upscaled version in the West for the Vita. Part of me hopes that this is true just so I can play the game. The other part of me fears the notion, because it'll mean that I finally

Don't even get me started on how sad the lack of Western version of Type-O gets me. Genuinely sad.

As much as I nostalgically love Square, and as much as I actually, genuinely like FFXIII, I haven't seen logic or sense in many or SE's decisions for many a year. The last time I felt like the SE brand was a true stamp of quality, wherein the contents inside the package bearing that stamp is a promise of wonderment

Yeah. Definitely see my response to avlambo_21. More than anything, it's the out-of-nowhere decision to have action combat that leads me to my theory. It's totally sensible that if Versus was scrapped, they'd at least want to use some of their code work and system development from Versus in a game (any game) just so

For sure. It's really not too much of a stretch. The focus on action combat seemingly out of left field, the preponderance of urban environments, the odd coincidence of a glut of promotional material focusing on combat with behemoths.

At this point. I am 75% convinced that Lightning Returns is the game that they've made from the guts of what was once Versus XIII.

My initial thought was that this is some sort of viral marketing for DmC.

I have a feeling that Anarchy Reigns would be getting a much more positive reaction from the gaming press right now if it weren't for the decision to lock most of the characters for multiplayer up as rewards in the campaign mode. I bought the game primarily interested in getting into the versus modes with the robot

Yeah I agree. As I often have discussed with my wife. I live most of life "walking through a fog." The fantasy worlds that I enjoy, or dream up in my head tend to be more real to me than the life I live. Often my connection to game or film characters is alot deeper than what I have with anyone aside from my wife

I've heard that before. I don't have an issue with the quests though. I rather like them. They pad out the time that I get to spend in the lovely melancholy world. The quests also suit the story in a meta way, ala. No More Heroes. There's a dialogue between the father and Weiss about how the tasks are mundane, but

It's true. I can name a load of film scenes that get me every time. Plenty of moments in gaming too. When my grandfather, whom I was extremely close to, passed . . . I couldn't manage to shed a tear. It's a really bizarre paradigm.

I actually just started playing Nier for the first time this week. I'm just doing fetch quests in the first town, but the sense of melancholy is overwhelming (in a good way) already. The ticking of the gears on the save mailbox paired with the music when Devola is singing in the center of town . . . unreal. And

Metal Gear Solid 4. When you inch your way over that snowy ridge on Shadow Moses island, and the complex appears before you, beautifully rendered with the PS3 graphics, and the old MGS soundbites start firing off as Snake has mild flashbacks. I cried. I'm proud of it. I tell lots of people that story.

Missed that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Tim doesn't usually get involved as heavily with directing music videos. That's more Eric's bag.

Anyone know if this video was directed by Eric Wareheim? It has his style written all over it. I tried to do alittle research, but I came up empty handed.
