That was recorded clips, I think this refers to live streaming.

Good play by Microsoft. Since SkyDrive is (finally) becoming a genuine online storage contender and its really well integrated into Win 8 and Win Phone it makes sense to go down this road. It'd be doubly cool if they offered Dropbox, Bitcasa or other online storage options -but hey, it ain't gonna happen and SkyDrive…
They secretly reverse engineered it, then with micro-soldering irons hidden inside pencils they made just enough changes to disable DLNA.
Launch day figures are fairly unimportant in the scheme of things, since they relate more to how many of the things they can make than to demand. The Xmas sales figures will be more indicative but it'll take 6 months to to get a really useful picture.
If these are DOA my gut feeling is that this is a firmware problem, or at worst a faulty chip somewhere. Neither is as chronic as a design flaw like the overheating 360. A firmware can be easily updated and a single faulty component can be replaced in new builds and the faulty existing devices can (in theory) be…
For some it is. It it works flawlessly (or close to) then it certainly means I'll get a PS4 over the Xbox (a decision which is otherwise still in the balance).
I recognise the above is likely to be the kind of experience that a general user might have. But for a gaming blog this is surprisingly ill informed.
Agreed. Not too many levels could be a plus point.
It doesn't matter of course, but how odd. I assume the little rubber feet these things usually have are at fault?
Watching that video my first thought is - man, YouTube looks terrible.
I refuse to believe that at no point during a 4 year design process involving probably hundreds and staff, costing tens on millions, thinking about countless licensing agreements and of course extensive software design did no one say "will it play mp3s?".
The PC has a few major barriers to overcome. Mainly that there's an investment in either cost, learning and/or effort required in order to get into the scene and get the most from your machine. Many people lack the time, money or inclination to overcome these barriers. And while few could argue that the PC is a better…
You could well be right.
Well in this admittedly purely illustrative example that would be, by definition, impossible.
Half the people complain that multi tasking isn't needed. The other half complain that it only does two. maybe microsoft are sat in the middle of the bell curve after all?
Oh yeah agreed , I said it was unacceptable.
Stability, makes no odds. Remember it runs via a virtual machine, so it doesn't have one OS trying to do two things. It has two OSs and is just showing you one or the other at any given moment. One could completely crash and the other wouldn't be affected.
I had an RROD on my 360 did the proper fix, which lasted me about 4 years. Granted, that's still unacceptable for a console, but jus sayin that not all fixes were short term ones.
Ive interviewed hundreds of people, and its astonishing how many just shoot themselves in the foot with totally basic errors. Almost every time we do a round of interviews, at least one person is late because they didn't bother to check how to get to us in advance - incredible!
