Another article on here estimated an hour download for Knack to be ready .

I have to say.. I can't bear floating windows on a tablet, even a 10". A proper split screen, similar to (dare I say it) Windows 8 isnt so bad, but floating? Bleurgh.

Yeah, totally agreed. I played SS2 to completion a few times, and only latterly played it as a shooter. Granted I still shot things when I played as a Navy or OSI character, but they were occasional accurate pot shots from cover and I don't think I ever got into an actual fire fight in the game. I'd go further and say

edit: Ignore me, replied to wrong post.

Hard to make a judgment, even from a long video. It doesn't leap out at me as being as readily functional as the Xbox 1 and rather makes me think of the Playstation Store at the mo (which I find horrible, though mainly because its slow rather than its design).

I think he means on mobile. Whether true or not there's a line of thought that iOS 7 was prompted by the widely lauded look of WinPho 7/8.

A friend of mine is an ultra runner. His first race was a 40 mile marathon - on a 400m track...

So... Keep on waiting for uk news then...

Thats...ludicrous. You can't just add up flops thrown together randomly from different devices with differing architectures and expect it to mean anything.

I thought exactly the same thing as I read the article.

Please tell me they're releasing a post-modern self-referential simulator where you run a factory building mobile phones on the back of the blood and sweat of Chinese students.

That stat is totally meaningless. I suspect you made it up.

well, il wait and see really. The metro ui generally suits a big screen. More, ironically, than on a PC. But obviously on a per app basis we'll just see when it comes out. I reckon Xmas 2014 will be a good time to pick one up. By then we should know for sure how all aspects of each platform performs .

From my point of view - I have a PC that looks better than either so graphics aren't really a deciding, but I like having a front room gaming device - either so I can play with mates, for when I'm playing more casual games (I like a good golf game - you really don't need crazy graphics for those) or just when I don't
