Brilliant. I thought the fact that you had to choose between specific combinations of gunning, hacking or psi skills was what made System Shock 2 so great. The game was substantially different depending on how you played. Rather than having a whole arsenal of ways to go through the game, you had to create little niche…
That would be good - 'cept the PC is probably in as low a doldrums as any time I've been gaming. This would have been great last generation.
Generally its worth it. The main thing is this - if your meal takes 30 minutes at 200C, how long does it take if it spends 1 minute at 100C, 1 minute at 120, 1 minute at 140 and so on up to 200? It means that you can basically chuck your timings out of the window.
I used to watch 18 rated films when I was younger. But there's a difference between letting your 15 yr old son and his mates watch a few action films or mainstream horror films (Aliens, for example) and allowing your 10 year old son to watch Hostel. My parents understood what was reasonable and what wasnt, so could…
Wow, didn't realise you could scan/spot an Oyster card from your phone.
Home made garlic oil and chilli olive oils are great for cooking when you can't be arsed. Using garlic oil in lieu of garlic is a neat little timesaver.
One point for if you're intending to keep in a garage. Not all freezers are designed to be kept outside at temps less than 10C. At best you invalidate the warranty, at worst it might break the thing. If it is going outside, as lots of people do, make sure you either get one that will work there, or be prepared to take…
"The Tree", "The Ladder", "The Charts", "The Table".
Its not easy at the top, but Apple seem to have had one or two more problems than usual with security recently.
I can't help but feel that the PS4 is a just a larger helping of the same meal.
Agreed. None of my mates are gamers, so thats about that.
Cue a deluge of anti-Mac comments, followed by a deluge of anti-Windows responses.
Indeed. I also used Google Notebook and Google Wave as well, both of which bit the dust.
If you think about it, machines generally change resistance or belt speed, rather than make a beep when you programme them. If you're cycling and every 8 seconds it drops the resistance to very low, you're gonna go -UGH- as your press hard on the pedal with no resistance. Treadmills too aren't that much better, since…
I don't think this is aimed at Evernote et al. This is squarely aimed at people using Apple's Notes app. It is what it claims - just a simple place to sketch down a few notes on your phone, with the nice bonus of being synced.
Probably specific features that they miss, or bugs that haven't been squashed.
Jeez my wife does stuff like that all the time. Like sitting upright, pointing and saying "There's a woman in the room".
Trouble with every one that I've tried is that they go for the magazine pretty-pretty approach. That's fine for a few casual reading stuff, but I also plough through hundreds of articles for work every couple of days and I need something far more prosaic for those purposes.
2 years? Thats about a third of a book for him isnt it?
