Did you also hear his voice as you read this, or was it just me?

I wasn’t the only one to have these, right?

Maining because it’s dual clutch not single. DCT = Good. SMG = Bad.

Who knows... $50 says the guy who owns the 1964 GTO commissioned this one-off! The folks who own original GTOs are people like Rob Walton (son of Sam Walton), Nick Mason (drummer for a small band called Pink Floyd), David “WeatherTech” MacNeil, Ralph Lauren...  You know, the types of people who could call Ferrari and

In my form of endurance racing (The VERY low end, 24 Hours of Lemons and ChampCar), I share the car in 7 hour to 24-hour endurance races with two other guys and my wife. It is no big deal, and there are no comments, no quarter given, and no discrimination either. When the helmets are on, you can’t tell which driver is

Because the whole car is a modern take of THIS car. A 250 Gran Turismo OMOLOGATO. #7.

1957 Beetle with a more than mildly warmed up engine was at 252.

Holy Crap, I had one car (not a daily, sadly) at 252 points and another at 382! Yes, I love cars.

You do not need to own a business to lease/buy a car north of $50K.

We’re using a kit with a tubular subframe and a bell housing adapter plate from Ecotecmiata.ca.

The issue with the swaps (and I’d love a K-swap, myself) is the kits themselves aren’t cheap. Even if you can get a $300 K20 or K24, the swap itself will still set you back $5,000 unless you’re handy with both a welder and geometry.

Short nose crank issues are only on the early 1.6 engines. I agree with the above comment that cites ‘94 as the sweet spot.

My Volvo has the same thing.

I like your wife.  How my wife lets me race: When I finish my stint in the race car, I slide the seat forward, and help buckle her in.

I like your collection. Nice and eclectic, with some solidly chosen classics there, and a truck you can bounce off of a mountain.

We called State Farm about classics. Maybe it was just our agent, but they seemed overwhelmed by our needs. We have about 12 classics, 3 summer cars and 3 what I’d call “year ‘rounders.” It’s only me and my wife. They said they couldn’t handle it. They really lost it when they couldn’t find a 1934 Borgward Hansa 1100

State Farm and other insurance companies do offer reduced rate “storage” insurance. We do this in the midwest since we’ve got several old cars that we won’t drive in snow/salt. It’s cheap, like $20/six months.  This way, we’re covered on theft, vandalism, garage fires, tornados, and so forth.

My Porsche does not need the full-on Sailor Moon treatment.

Hey, Honda: I’m not into Anime. Can I get this car in a more discrete touring package?  If Porsche can do it with the 911 GT3...
