If you look up and down the grid, I’m sure the sponsors of all the teams collectively cough up something like $4 Billion USD in sponsorship cash. I doubt the board of directors of the cybersecurity companies or sports drink companies are too concerned about technology transfer.

The entire point is to win races and promote your sponsors’ crap. There really is no “outside of the $$$$$” in modern F1.  There is no “greater good.”

Why in the world would you ever want to let the car decide?  They tend to suck at choosing gears.

The recent release of information is to drum up interest in the US market. They’ve been selling the M2 CS in Europe ahead of stricter emissions implementation for the 2021 model year (particulate filters, etc). So, the order books for the US cars have yet to open, despite BMW teasing the car almost a year ago.

The lack of tactile feedback. When they can make a touchscreen FEEL like a physical button, when you can feel how many clicks you’ve turned it, or if you’ve even pressed it at all..

Unfortunately, that is millions of acres of farmland that would be unproductive.  Farmers (and the lobby) will fight tooth and nail about tilling soil, it’d be virtually impossible to get something like this past a state house in any agricultural state.  And, to be honest, most of these roads see, maybe, dozens of

It’s all small tubes.  A hacksaw would work better, really.

Yes, Jay has millions from stand-up and late night. How profitable is stand-up comedy? At his level, he can charge ticket prices on par with The Stones, and does not have to employ 100 roadies and put up an elaborate stage each night. As long as he has a fresh denim shirt, he’s good to go.

An a complete inability to realize that their decision was a faulty one, and to reverse course once committed.

That middle dude is 100% Adam Carolla.

The subframe and A-arms have surface rust. There doesn’t appear to be anything structural. The metal on the bodies of Miatas is almost comically thin in places. Body rust would send me running away.
