I actually know the seller of this car. I’ve bought a car from him as recently as 9 days ago... and I’ve bought more than one.
Golf! We have a same vintage Bavaria in that color.
Sure, it is, Tim! It’s cars!
I have a 2008 Volvo with projector units and halogen bulbs. They have a very hard cutoff line in the pattern. Dropped in some retrofit LEDs (about $65 a pair via Amazon, look for ones with a high number of ratings). I’ve spent a few nights tinkering with the aim, but I’ve never been happier. Solid light, good pattern…
Don’t forget, there’s still a final version of the current car pending. The M2 CS. A more limited, more bonkers version of the M2 Competition. 2,220 units total, 500 for the US.
I father-in-law does commercial HVAC. His Chevy Express is outfitted like a mini shop. He routinely tows trailers. This makes sense for trades people who have heavy stuff to move or install. It may not make sense for folks who simply need volume.
Actually, the Corvette has a rear end grafted on it from a Camaro. Same company at least. But, you are on to something: why go to your down-market car for design?
This is a good example of cohesive design. Unlike some other vehicles, it looks like it was designed by one person. Some other cars look like the ones who did the front and back never met.
The “3D Look” really only showed up in print/online media. On a car, it was pretty consistent since 1963. Isn’t that what matters? What’s on the car?
The front rotors are 16.5" (420mm). So, probably!
Showed my wife. She said “Oh, its actually a 6-speed wagon? They made like, what, 12 of them?”
You can find good used Cayman S (987.1) for well under $30K. You’ll pay a little more for the 2009+ cars with the newer direct injected engine.
That is down to the fact that MI allows trucks to run 2x heavier than any other state. They measure weight per axle, so you see these 15 axle behemoths running 164,000 pounds. Then, have all four seasons in a single week. The roads suck due to overweight trucks and the weather of an angry god.
I bought a ‘57 Beetle with over 200hp... 4-wheel drums still in place. Nope, nope, nope.
This.
That depends on the spread of your gears. If your 4th gear (in a 4-speed) and 5th (in the 5 speed) are a similar ratio, you’d be right.
In my experience, you can tell if the vehicle is happy or not. Does it sway? Does it struggle to accelerate? Does it feel like it’ll swap ends under braking? Does anything rub? Does it overheat? If the answer to all of these is “no” then you are probably OK.
It worked for a young Paul Tracy. Crash or win. As long as the wins outweigh the equipment costs...
