TIL that Rooster Teeth was owned by fucking Warner Bros?!
Oh so it’s our fault. We did... something. At some point.
I enjoyed Anthem for a couple hours. The controls are really satisfying and it’s fun flying around these beautiful environments.
It would have also been great as just a single player game that supports co-op. Live service games forcing everything to run through hubs is just awful. Yes, please have a great city for me to explore, but let it be part of the gameplay, like RD2, Cyberpunk 2077, GTA, Elder Scrolls, etc. Forcing a hub just to have a…
Well...that’s Dune, that’s not Villeneuve. The first third or so of the first book is by a horribly difficult mountain to climb that absolutely makes you want to say fuck it, it can’t be worth it...
Grounded is phenomenal. I’ve played through the story a few times and I enjoy the survival mechanics and base building. If you’re not a fan of spiders or bugs in general then it might be a bit much, but it’s a really fun game.
Wrong take. Crunch is a thing. The humans making these games have actual lives and they don’t want to spend three months sleeping under their desks and pulling 18 hours days. It’s a goddamn videogame, it’s not worth devs not seeing their families for months on end over.
So, this franchise is like Earth Defense Force? I think that was the one with a similar concept of soldiers killing Giant bugs.
“Palworld’s very naked depictions of subjugation and violence definitely make it a strange game to play at times.”
How are you distinguishing between a meme and a merited success at this stage, though? You don’t know what this game’s long term sales are like, it hasn’t been out long enough. It seems like you could make this same argument right after any high profile game launch if you happen to dislike the game.
If you check details on pals there is a list of what they can do, for example Sheep and cats and a few others have handiwork skill and sometimes workaholic traits which is great for tasks around base, I have about 10 workbenches set up and each one has a pal working there, I just have to select recipes usually just…
Lol. As opposed to Pokemon, where Pokemons are NOT “slaves”? Just forced to battle each other for eternity, used as beasts of burden, free labor, and, you know, eaten for food.
I’m painting a target against myself here with this critique, but whatever... I’ll just put my personal opinion here, sorry if I offend someone, it’s not the intention.
this one?
I’m still waiting for them to make good on their teaser promise of Golden Sun (and Lost Age as well, hopefully)
I like Bethesda games but this is the most stale and lazy shit I’ve ever seen from them, and these guys made Oblivion.
I don’t see how this entire situation isn’t Microsoft’s fault. If I understand correctly, it automatically uploads game play clips the system takes itself, also automatically, and the option is defaulted ‘on’ instead of ‘off’ for some inane reason. The vast majority of this could been prevented by MS defaulting that…
simple solution: automatically uoad but when a clip is found to be explicit set it to private instead of a ban. solves all relevant problems.
Just got around to playing this game last month after owning it for about 3 years. It turned out to be one of the best games I ever played. Gotta play with headphones on.
