I’ve had a great experience with them getting stuff for our ‘79 450SLC

I’ve bought parts from the classic center for the 450SLC my wife and I are restoring. They’re fantastic to deal with. If I remember correctly, there are only 2 guys that answer the phone for orders.

We just got a new memo from our corporate office. All new ambulances we get are going to be the Transits. Hopefully, they’ll be better than the Sprinters. Anything is better than the 200,000 mile hand me downs we have now.

Or a female diving officer, almost out of uniform?

After the fruit cops searched every compartment.

Seconded. They came recommended from both the BMW and Mercedes clubs.

We have at least 3 running around Baton Rouge right now. I always figured they went to Houston. Our independent shops up here only work on the Germans (although one does have a TVR out back).

That was my 1st thought, you beat me to it!

Sounds like one of the most infamous/famous ones in Arkansas- Car-Mart (How they haven’t gotten sued by Wal-Mart yet, I’ll never know). The 1 time I set foot in one they had plaques on the walls “thanking dedicated customers” and listing how many cars they had bought from them, some as high as 6 or 7. I knew it wasn’t

I fell for this trap, ironically after working for several as a repo man. (I have literally repo’d the same car from 3 different owners.) Both times, I had catastrophic mechanical failures, and wound up pitching them the keys back and walking away. Hindsight is 20/20, Instead of paying the “down payment”, I should

Even with a kilo of coke in the trunk to make crack and a lock of Mercedes Jellinek’s hair. Crack Pipe.

Let’s see: E93 328i here, 2 BMW bikes in the carport, used to have an E30. There is a R107 Benz hiding in the garage, though.

In-laws have one. It’s perfect for them, they look at it strictly as a means to get from point A to point B. I hate riding in the damn plasticky thing.

I went to undergrad at a large, SEC school with a profitable football program. There was a god-awful maroon/purple one on campus. Personalized license: SWAG 6, 26” rims, bad tint, the whole bit, to include a handicapped parking hangtag. No one could ever prove it, but it was supposed to have been given to the

Hmmm, So I wonder where my wife and I would stand? Had an E83 X3. hauled dogs, work stuff, and the occasional u-pull-it run for parts for the E30 in the garage. Went on a bunch of long-distance road trips. She did all the wrenching on it herself with 1 exception.

Same here. I was willing to put a deposit down, sight unseen for one of the 1st ones. Glad I didn’t, I couldn’t stand the interior when I finally got to sit in one.

I’ve determined you are a bad influence on my checkbook. First, I bought a car from CarMax (it’s been in the shop twice in the month we’ve owned it, You weren’t kidding on the warranty! BMW and CarMax took great care of us). Now, I showed your video to my wife, her first words were “hmm, could we register one in

Holy crap, the NIMBYs! It gets brought up from time to time to link Baton Rouge to New Orleans and a line to the New Orleans airport with High-Speed rail. They come out in droves against it, but whine and pitch a fit everytime a wreck shuts down the interstate, or the thrice daily gridlock, or how difficult is to get

Geaux Cajuns!

Definitely part of the problem. There was a quote in Trains magazine a few years ago from the President of Illinois Central, referring to the CNO’s delays. “We make more on the demurrage than Amtrak fines us”
