The horrors one sees as an EMT and a jalop....
My wife and I have been to a couple of those events. Not only can you hoon BMW's unsupervised, you can also hoon the competition!
That was one of the best protocol changes we had.....the Geodon/Versed cocktail became standing order! Nothing like trying to keep from getting your ass beat while calling for orders to sedate.
Had a similar situation in Baton Rouge a couple of years ago. We were transporting a pt. with blood sugar problems that had developed while she was stuck in traffic jam. We were running with the lights and sirens on trying to get off the interstate. Woman in a Camry flips her hazards on and proceeds to ride 6 inches…
I can safely say this as a 911 operator and a jalop: Probably not, depending on who answers the phone. Plus, In most centers, 911 operators whether Police, Fire or EMS have to work off of protocols for information gathering, pre-arrival instructions, and determining call type for dispatch. Going "off-script" actually…
We just took a 1500 mile road trip in our '12 with the 3.1. Running between 70-80 we got 27 mpg. I can't remember what rpm we cruised at though. It's weird till you get used to it, getting on it to pass, it downshifts twice. On a trip in the Natchez Trace Parkway, cruise set at 50 with no ethanol gas, We got 36 mpg.
I had to think for a while on this one:
Yup, needs moar avocado green
Hehehe, Never thought of doing that.....Now I have an idea for a slow night on the ambulance!
It's a ingenious scam when you really think about it (Playing Devil's Advocate, kid's still a douche)
And so a new Jalopnik meme begins.......
I couldn't get so lucky. I'm in Baton Rouge, LA. One of my other riding colleagues sent me a link to the TV report about Austin's motorcycle medics this morning....We've been trying to get a program started here for a while.
F650GS FTW, (I ride a '97)!!!!
I can second a couple of the previous posts from my recent experiences road tripping to Oklahoma from Louisiana
Even with as much lusting after and hunting I have done for a Grand National, I have to go with the pipe for this one......Price wayyyy to high, plus that color just screams KOOL-AID DONK!!!!!!!!
'WHY DID YOU TURN!!!!".......the 2 latches at the top of the windshield, that's what holds the front of it down and keeps this from happening!
The saving grace will be if it ends kinda like "The Man Show".......
