IIRC, it was on the drivers side of the back of the wagon. there was a plastic side panel that had to come off to get to it. The late '80's Escort I saw it on, it was in the same place, near the bottom

When my dad bought our '87 Grand Marquis Wagon, I remember the salesman showing us that switch during the delivery walkaround. My wife and I bought a 2012 Mustang a month ago, I automatically started digging in the trunk looking for it.
That contrary to pop culture belief and the embarassment of a salesman at the local dealership, the Blue/White of the BMW Roundel is actually from the Bavarian coat of arms, not a white propeller in a blue sky (as stated in "Finding Forrester").
I couldn't help but laugh at the comment the voice guy makes-"whoever traded this in probably bought something worse- like a Kia". Then I went out and stared at my E34 525i, silently shed a tear and said a little prayer for all its Bavarian brethren that went to the giant BMW Welt in the sky because of that ridiculous…
"Barrel of jug-eared inbreds". Somehow I read that in Clarkson's voice....can only imagine the new "Audi driver= cock" jokes he's gonna come up with now.
Nice.....And the PC wouldn't last too long after that
This is the only way I could find it, fast forward to around 9:48
This.....The history of the 3er, plus some hoonage! Makes me love my E30 even more!
All I can think of is Clarkson in the back yelling at Captain Slow "Sit still, I'm trying to shoot you!)
Starting in August of 1996:
Hmmmm-
Ahh yes, the humble police package Dodge Diplomat. Those soldiered on in Baton Rouge into the early '90's! Many a rookie BRPD officer's hopes were dashed when they made it off field training, all the while praying for a new Crown Vic, and recieved the keys to one....Often their first offical duty was to promptly take…
Hmmmm, nope, no Raylan....No bullet holes. plus, he rolls a Lincoln Town Car!
The M1008 is nice, But I'd prefer the M1009 version based on the K-5 Blazer.....I had a bad habit in my unit of breaking the drivers door glass on our section's 1008 when I'd slam the door!
Casey Jones you better watch your speed.....further ahead, further behind........
That looks like one of the ambulances that was always in the background of the TV show "Scrubs"!!
@albiorix: The last wreck I worked with similar consequences (double fatality), was a 2009 Mustang GT hardtop. They left the roadway, struck a live oak about 10 feet up, which tore the car apart at the firewall, threw the engine about 50 feet, broke the trans off at the bellhousing, the battery was found 100 feet down…
@PHIL: Even as late as the late '90s, there was an ambulance service in Southern California that still used some of the last Cadillac/Miller-Meteor Ambulances to roll off of the line.......Just once I'd like to work a patient in one, so I could see the difference in ride quality.
Hmmm, Questionable British build quality. Questionable 4x4 conversion, questionable care and maintenance. appeals to those in Alabama, TN, Arkansas and parts of Texas........
