People make wrong decisions all the time. Hell, I've made at least 4 today. But that isn't the point. I would hope that making a wrong decision isn't what overshadows the things I've done in life and the friend I've tried to be. Be a cynical dick all you want, but realize that this by all accounts was a good person

But there is a very clear difference in how you complain, as opposed to lets say actually forming a valid argument to stand behind. You have yet to point out how their coverage is wrong, you have just complained about the coverage because it rubs you the wrong way. Tell me how the article is false, or misleading not

Look, I don't know you as a person so I will refrain from personal attacks and try my best not to generalize. But you do realize that this article was written by a fan, who provided a timeline of events leading up to a UFC card that is now different from how it was originally planned, because of some pretty fucking

Because hes an extremely polarizing public figure that elicits a lot of feeling from people.....I think there is a word for that. Oh yeah! It's called "newsworthy."

Seriously. I enjoy the sport very much, but out at a bar, the most accidental bump can result in me getting my ass kicked, and I just avoid it as most I can.

I'm a legendary donkey puncher. (or so I keep telling myself).

Drugs are good according to anyone who has tried them.

The fact that I knew exactly what this was just by the screenshot makes my parents sad.

It would be different if these were just hatchet men out to get the UFC. But they aren't. They provide quality analysis because they are fans. Tim Marchman (who writes a lot of the UFC articles people complain about) is an admitted fan. This article was very clearly written by someone who cares about the sport. A fan

Of course. It's kind of similar (in my mind) how NCAA football guys get 5 official visits. Even if you have your mind made up after visit #1, why not have the ego stroked for the rest of them? As a player, I would think that being told I'm the best and having someone like Cuban concede such would boost me mentally as

Yeah, I mean I saw where Cuban said he wasn't gonna sign any max contracts, but holy hell it would be damn near impossible to not entertain the notion of the best player in the world playing for your team.

Did you not read my post? I am fine with 2nd (and in your case 3rd) opinions when it comes to such things as surgery. The difference is, you definitely knew something was wrong with your knee, and treatment was required.

It's the Fox News strategy: rich people telling poor people that they need to protect the interests of rich people.

You do realize they were getting checked out right? By their employers doctors who were supposed to be specialized to meet the needs of professional athletes. Doctors that took an oath to do no harm, just as every other doctor. Only in their case they were not given the information required to make healthy decisions.

Geeze man. They aren't arguing that it isn't dangerous. They are arguing that they were not being told exactly how dangerous it was, that said dangers were lied about, and that their health was put in jeopardy by said lies.

I guess I'm missing your point. Which is fine, because I am sure it is as ridiculous as your first post. Kudos on your hard work and handsome income, but you realize that while on its face knowing that getting smashed in the head is going to cause damage is true, the fact that these folks were lied to and probably put

ESPN comment boards are over there pal.

It was pretty impressive how Hulk was able to manage his anger in that situation though!

Did he yell "that's fucked up" when walking to the locker room?

I've never been in an authority position to make that call, so my thoughts are purely that, thoughts. But I would never pick a hospital over trying to stick it out if I felt like I was going to crap my pants. Also, I would imagine there is a little more pressure to not flake out for a job in DC. You are likely correct
