This belongs on longread.com's best longreads of the week. If it is a long enough read. I don't really know how long they have to be to be a longread. Either way, damn fine article.

A little late in the game now, but I took practice tests over and over and just taught myself from my mistakes. That being said, I'm currently in my law school pulling an all nighter for my 8am final over a topic I'm still not sure I understand. If it's what you want to do, go for it. I don't have any regrets!

My issue is that if you get penalized for talking about the refs after a game, the refs should not be able to talk down to someone like that. I don't know what is said during a game, but criticizing a ref afterwards is a big no-no. So in my eyes, they hold the refs in a higher regard, and this type of behavior should

This is probably bias on my end, but back at USC, Polamalu BLEW UP a punt returner from KSU, I mean, nasty, clearly a violation, and no flag was thrown. But I agree, I would take both Suh and Polamalu on my defense, so I guess it is sort of a moot point!

That's cool, I get that. But if it was Suh doing the exact same shit I think opinions would be different.

Sure. But if you have the chance to watch this game, don't forget Troy Polamalu is a first rate asshole as well. He has been doing some pretty questionable shit in my opinion, and I don't care about the Lions or the Steelers.

A Baseketball reference just made my day. Very nice.

What a terrifying individual.

Gotcha. The backlash is deserved as well as embarrassing. Have a good night everybody, I need to put the computer down as I have learned it is very hard to dig in an upwards fashion.

I was uninformed on Marshall's issues and after multiple comments have learned he has dealt with his issues in a far superior manner than Incognito. I'm not afraid to say I was wrong, and I think Marshall makes a good point here. My judgment was misplaced.

That is a very fair point.

Wrong about what? Admittedly, I probably rushed to judgment (clicking publish) because I was not as aware of Marshall's problems and him being so up front about it. That is 100 percent my mistake. Here, Marshall is totally right about the culture of the NFL, but his previous behavior bothered me, and I was uninformed

Richie Incognito has been to treatment for his behavior multiple times as well. But everyone seems to be forgetting that right now because he keeps being an asshole. Incognito isn't mentally ill, he's a prick. Right?

What does Marshall have to say about domestic violence? Is that worth listening to also?

Are you guys going to post the Daily Show's take on the Incognito issue? It was pretty funny.

Not to mention Incognito underwent treatment between that time. It didn't fix the problem, but it probably made it a little better than what it was in 2005.

If you think its limited to the Dolphins, you are fooling yourself. Notice how the players are pissed off about Martin airing team dirty laundry, that's because it is a big no-no in the NFL. Sort of like the Saints "bounty" program. If you think it was only a Saints issue, you are fooling yourself.

I mean, it's not a good thing, but the offensive line is one of the most violent positions in football. So having a violent person play that position (even if they are racist) will probably be more appealing than someone who isn't. Look at how many chances Incognito has gotten after his problems at Nebraska. People

Maybe. But I'm not black, so I can't ever imagine how being black and being called the n word would make me feel. But if Incognito throws it around like it appears he does and he still has black teammates getting his back, it looks like either they did some serious shit themselves, or the NFL locker rooms are located
