Forgive me, but I don't feel it's necessary for a reviewer to "care" about the franchise. In my view, they are supposed to review the game as objectively as possible.

Well I agree with you on EDGE being harsh, but I don't think Destructoid are overly harsh. I mean, they gave KZ3 a ten. Sure, I have over 200 hours logged into the multiplayer, but it ain't no ten, I don't think.
