The original Prime is the best in that trilogy. The second one the hardest, and the third, a good game but a bit odd with the other characters present and voice-acting. Nothing beats the first time you step into Samus’s visor on that space station, even 14 years later. Such a good set of games; wish we’d see a return

Glad to see these updates, especially the friend online notifications and appearing offline. But while we’re on the subject, where is the library management? Oh, and PSN ID change please and thank you :)

Glad to see more features added; the friend notifications and appear offline especially. That said:

Maybe this will spur 11 Bit to patch in the final content for the game some of us have been waiting months for.

Glad to hear this! Apparently Unity 5.4 will allow multi-threading on PS4 (which is crazy that it doesn’t already considering devs have 7 cores available to them). I look forward to the patch with this update included (as well as other games on console that utilize Unity).

Picked up on PS4, but I’ll wait until it gets patched. I wonder if it’s a hard drive streaming issue; SATA II Sony?

Keza did you get a chance to play the XONE version at all? Just wondering if there are any noticeable differences. Great review.

I really hope Apple comes around on this. The issue with Papers Please give me some hope (that, and the fact that there are other games on iOS which contain children and violence). I was really looking forward to playing Isaac on iOS.

I too miss 1Up, and Joystiq even more ;(

No MFI controller support on iOS? It would’ve been an immediate sale if it had.

Great review Nathan. Just as an aside, it is also coming out on PS4 and Vita, so the Platforms section is slightly remiss. Keep up the good work!

I really tried to like this game, but I just can’t get into it for some reason. I’ve played mostly solo like you Jason, but it still seems mindless and lacking any real depth in terms of gameplay. Maybe I’ll give it another shot sometime (though I heard the latest patch nerfed the PS4's framerate, so I might wait

Dig the new review format; never liked that “Should you play” part. I did like the old Kotaku review style which listed the likes and dislikes after the exposition, but we kind of get that now in a much more pithy form. Good review Stephen!

Would possibly throw in some coin if they had plans for a console version.

Not a fan of this approach. Hope this doesn’t turn into a train wreck.

This is an excellent revision of the system, though to be honest I do miss the old “What I liked” and “What I didn’t liked” bullet points at the end of the review - it was a nice summary of the author’s feelings. I know they got used incorrectly as some sort of scoring mechanism, but they felt more informative and

This is pretty cool news, though I’d love it if this game was the PC port (widescreen, higher resolution, etc.) and not just a PS2 classic! The blog post wasn’t clear which one it will be.

The only time I believe preordering is worthwhile is if there is some sort of financial incentive; saving 20% is pretty good. Regardless, you still have to exercise common sense along with caution - certain games aren’t much of a worry if you enjoy the series (Uncharted, Gears, etc.), others might be better holding

Just a great deal, but unfortunately it doesn’t apply to digital preorders. I would’ve been all over this if it had!
