A friend who drives around everyday doing deliveries once told me that he hates seeing RAV4s and CRVs on the road, because they’re almost always slow drivers. After years of observation, I realized he was not wrong.

Don’t forget some of the benefits though. VW gave my buddy $1500 of free service, a $600 visa gift card, and a few other things he likes to cheer on about. I guess he’d be upset about the drop in value, but he still loves his TDI and doesn’t plan to sell or trade it anytime soon.
