I love the part where they run the stock into the ground, lay off workers due to poor managemt/anti marketing by the CEO and then force them to exercise their options while the stock is reeling.

I like the idea of, “Ok buddy, you’re sovereign, you are on your own. We will let your neighbors know you’re green lit and make sure to stay the hell off of our roads.  Please do not call the police when you see the torches and pitchforks coming, we don’t give a shit.”

They work at collection agencies and call themselves.  The commissions keep the treadmill spinning.

Did dodge pay for this advertisement? Was it copy pasted from a press release? Is this what the death throes of online journalism look like?

There is no circumstance where I would buy a full sized truck.  The bloat to me makes no sense.  I happily own a midsized truck while having no problem affording something bigger.

I suppose your experience is far different than mine. I live within an hour of many of the best wheeling destinations in the country. It is not uncommon for someone to grab a brand new Rubi or Taco and throw another 10-20k in upgrades while the sticker is still in the window.

It depends. If off-roading is very important to you and you don’t need a the payload and towing of a full size, you will choose the midsized truck regardless of cost. In the mountain west and the desert (where I live) many trails were originally cut for horse carts and developed by early Jeep clubs. Full sized

Do I look like a cat to you, boy? Am I jumpin’ around all nimbly bimbly from tree to tree? Am I drinking milk from a saucer?”

The last paragraph...

I know it is going to be close to impossible to keep a Fisker on the road for more than a year or so. But part of me wants to grab a used one when they faceplant because I have a terrible case of, “I know I can beat the system.”

Musk did not do much with PayPal and was fired for being an unbearable douche, his status as a founder of that company is a very dubious claim. And Tesla? Musk was an investor, not a founder and engaged in a hostile takeover, his founder status there is also very dubious, and based on legal maneuvering not substance.

Head scratch.  Every truck on the market has models with the annoying air dam so they can meet cafe numbers.  This is not new.  They are typically easily removed with a single wrench in your driveway.  There’s plenty of things to complain about, this is not one of them.

So you missed the other two 4Runners right next to it without the spoiler? Looking at the wheel/tire choice, it should be painfully obvious that the one you decided to single out is a street oriented trim level.

60k.

The 4Runner, the Prado and the GX have been the same truck for a very very long time.   We finally are getting all the choices in the US. So we can choose specs based on tastes and budget.

Check part numbers. All mechanicals are identical between the two brands. They use identical platforms and everything bolts right in. . A Stinger and a G70 and a G80 share more than they don’t from an architecture standpoint.  The Chassis are the same.  The difference starts above the hard points.  There is

Hyundais and Kia’s are the same thing.  The difference is badge engineering.  All parts under the skin are interchangeable.

The 4 cylinder is pretty tepid. I have driven the 6, so I don’t know one way or the other if it is worthy of pursuing. But at 32k, you are getting to the used A4/S3 market.

I deal with companies in various time zones where overlap is minimal at best. 5x8 does not and and can not work in these situations. We need more overlap with international clients, but we also have to interface with clients in our own time zones. Currently this is solved by 5x10+ days whether that was the plan or
