This understates the tech upgrade. The current interface is a dealbreaker for some consumers. Supposedly this is a massive revision. Likely the interface is more important than the power boost for many potential customers.
It doesn’t matter if people sell their vehicle before it hits the mileage threshold. What matters is the vehicle meets and exceeds the mileage threshold regardless of number of owners.
I’ve had the good fortune to travel a bit. Even in neighboring Canada, freedom of movement based on a significantly reduced level of fear by the population is palpable. Walking around London or most of Europe at night feels like somebody took a giant weight off your shoulders, it’s literally exhilarating to have…
Engine and tranny combined are worth about $2500 from a private seller*.

Did you read what you sent? It actually argues against your assertions.
Vehicles are often viewed as legitimate threats under the law. A motorcycle or a car are frequently deadly.
You aren’t telling me anything I don’t know and I am vehemently opposed to qualified immunity for law enforcement. None of the complaints against the officer were excessive force, were they?
Then why not shoot him instead of throwing a cooler?
I am not sure we need to pick a side here (depending on eventual supporting facts). We are free to find no one to root for here.
Do you believe the cooler was thrown with the intent to end life?
I think it will depend on the low speed battery burn. My setup gets about 18 on the highway but about 8 off-road. My dirty range is maybe 150 miles. I can extend that with cans. But it’s possible an EV could have more off road range than my ICE truck.
I care about weight and width. Weight for the standard handling reasons. I don’t want an overweight pig trying to drag me down a sketchy off camber slope. Gravity is the enemy. This is why side by sides are great. You live with weight because of all the gear, but it’s not optimal.
I’ve had three GTI’s they are a really nice blend of utility, fun and responsibility. They key for me is also driving a lot less.
You are being carefully misleading. Prior to the Industrial Revolution carbon levels in nature were roughly static and sustainable and the carbon cycle was consistent.
None of us can prevent any of us from driving what they want.
If a person wants to be honest with themselves about the impact of cars while also loving cars, one must learn to be comfortable with cognitive dissonance. The two POV’s can not be rectified rationally.
Weird…Normies aren’t buying 62000 not mustangs. Yet Lightning work trucks are flying off of lots with markups.
