As much as I love modern conveniences like air conditioning and washing machines, sometimes I think we should just start over.

It was "edgy" when Burroughs wrote about it, because that kind of shit didn't get published. It was an interesting backdrop when Thompson wrote about it because he was an amazing fucking author. This, this is just the kind of banal attention whoring I've come to expect as a consequence of humans living in a world

"The fact that people choose to be in shape doesn't make them narcissists or fat shamers..."

Well yeah that's what I'm saying. It's odd to refer to this whole poll as irrelevant because of exclusion, well, duh that is the point of it.

Fair enough, I retract my comment about him being irrelevant (because honestly that was more of a shitty reference to him being dead). And yes taste is subjective, but there are obvious objective ways in which we can measure music. That a musician is popular has always struck me as the most meaningless ways to measure

Please don't disparage absurdity by comparing it with this nonsense.

Lol. Not once did I say that he didn't have a huge impact on music. I'm just saying that's not what I measure importance by. For example World War II had a devastating impact that is still felt today, but that doesn't make it a good thing.

Okay I have to admit that made me chuckle. This one time my sister was obsessed with NKOTB. Okay what am I saying she still is, but going back to the day... when they originally broke up I called in sick to school and arranged her entire collection of dolls as though they had committed suicide. Slit wrists, a rope,

    WORD.

Having both I have to say the anxiety is the worst.

Same here. I realize it may seem dumb to compare the death of a head of state with the death of a musician but let's be honest, politicians haven't been cool for a very long time.

I think pitting the Brat Pack against MTV is hardly a fair match up given the fact that we thought they were cool because of MTV. So I guess that's a vote for MTV by default, which is difficult because I still wear gloves with cut out fingers.

So in love with Kim Gordon, and Kim Deal for that matter. Excuse me, I need to go make a sandwich.

That's probably because you didn't like or haven't tried blow. Is it a complete waste of time? Yes, but so is reality television. And I'd add, it's moot which is actually worse for you.

Completely irrelevant, you mean like both MJ and Madonna are now? I'd also like to point out that just because something was popular and had an impact on the music industry doesn't make them good or worthy of praise.

Well mostly because of something called the Kyriarchy.

Yep, same thing I thought. I've always suspected that white actors make more than POC but the idea that BM / WW is something rare doesn't compute. For anyone interested in doing some research I suggest traveling over to adult video universe and clicking on "interracial" I think the results will speak for themselves.

Okay I can understand that. Here's where I see that falling apart. Not all designs fit all bodies the same. Meaning there are designs that actually don't look good on rail thin models, just as there are designs that don't look good on curvier models. If all of our means of fitting garments are the same, then we're

I'm a little horrified because this could potentially fuck this little girl up.

I agree. But that also means I believe certain former heads of state in the United States should be held accountable for their human rights violations as well. People I didn't vote for have done some horrible fucking shit while in office here and I have no recourse about it. Yay democracy...
