I don’t know that they’re better now - friend rented a Kia Accent this year and that was the worst riding, loudest car I’ve been in in years!! And the interior - total and utter crap! Can’t believe the Hyundai equivalent would be any better.

I drove a ‘90s Sonata once. So ok, in my book FWD is Bad and Wrong. But even bad FWD is supposed to feel like you’re in the same vehicle as the powertrain. The Sonata had this weird feeling, like riding in a trailer.

Came here to post this. My mom had both a 90s Excel and a late 90s Accent, they both were HORRIBLE cars. The Excel had a manual tranny that was unfixable.

Love my Lotus Elise Sport, which sounds great, but I agree.. this is currently the best sound out there... and not but a day ago heard a Ford GT at full tilt in Newport Beach. Still better. Sounds like a man out for revenge.

VW doesn't need a wagon or low lease rates to save them, what they need to do is to concentrate on making a reliable car. I have several friends that are former VW owners, their cars spent so much time in the shop that they are all now driving Honda, Toyota or Hyundai's.

We already know that Americans don’t buy wagons, but that isn’t totally true. Americans really love some wagons especially if they can call that wagon a crossover. So what’s a brand like Volkswagen to do that has a wagon, but can’t get traction with the sales stats? Jack it up and make it a crossover.
