I lived right on Ocean Parkway, or near it, for around 10 years. This is true in that it’s a slog to get from Prospect Park to Coney Island at the best, but the 25 mph limit doesn’t help. It was, however, not some version of Tokyo Drift before... the limit used to be a zany THIRTY miles per hour before “Vision Zero.”
The ICON isn’t rebuilt. The ICON is basically new. It has a new frame. New, aluminum body. New drivetrain with a Chevy LS motor. New suspension. New interior. New everything.
Wow. Just lightly repair it and clear coat it. Rat Rod P-51. That paint/rust is amazing, makes it look like it was carved from wood.
‘95 Cherokees are designed specifically to do just that.
Those aftermarket halo lights probably look cheap as shit
better safe than sorry type growing pain for a 100% brand new vehicle. No biggie
Is ‘the most modern car’ really something we want?
Headers crack pre-oxygen sensor. Pure air enters header through crack, throws off O2 sensor by showing a very lean condition. ECU compensates for lean condition by liqui-shitting fuel into the cylinders, which can lead to scoring on the cylinder walls, necessitating the rebuild.
It’s it safe to say though that every 355 with respectable mileage on it has already gone through most the expensive stuff, if not all of it, and should have the service records to prove it?
I’m no expert, but I’d imagine that Ferrari don’t have the widest thermal safety margins.
Volvo did nothing wrong here. Cars come with options. Options cost money. I can’t NOT get the sunroof option on a car and then expect to stick my hand through the roof of the car. This car didn’t have the feature that prevents hitting pedestrians. The owner should have known that. Sure, Volvo could make that feature…
I have had my C63 for almost 4 years now, the car is almost at 100k miles, and I have spent much less than $1k per year on it. Usually it is 2 oil changes per year (~$100 each), and a new set of rear tires (~$250 after the first set at Discount thanks to their warranty rules). So in a normal year I have had to spend…
These guys with Camrys that bitch about "expensive" cars costing a ton to maintain are getting pretty old.
On copart there is a side bar on many of the no reserve auctions that say that your final bid has to be accepted. There is one though with no reserve that the final bid is the final say no matter what.
no, it’s in the auction terms. Still, watch a chasing-classic-cars where the comment is “there are no real bidders in the room.” All of the big auction houses use ringers. That said, there is an unwritten rule that if there is a written-in bid, that the ringer can’t push the bid to the maximum.... but as morals seem…
Yes. Any auction I use, “No reserve” really means “no reserve”.
That whole “No reserve, nobody outbid you, but you still didn’t win” business sounds really shady. Isn’t that a violation of contract law or something?
The Old Guard is now going to be commanded by Cpt. Marjana Bidwell, who is not only going to be the first female in history to be Company commander but also an old friend of mine. Beyond proud!
Besides the fact that Saudi’s dont fly the F-16, it’s interesting to see if the front part of the alleged downed jet ever features in any of the Houtu’s pictures. The Saudis paint ‘God Bless You’ on the port front bit of each of their jets. I always wondered how funny it must be for the fighter pilots to recite ‘God…
