That is damn good work by GM. If they can retool that quickly - even only part of the factory - they should really look into ways to constantly retool and innovate in the future.

Fuck the cruise lines. You wanna US bailout? Fly a US flag and be subject to US labor, food, and drug regulations.
Amazing, but necessary. This might peak by late-May, but hospitals will still be a shit-show and hundreds of thousands will still be infected.
Seems reasonable...until you realize that if GM needs cash this bad, things must be really bad over there.
Is this at all a surprise to anyone?
The other key to those battery packs is that they’re likely easy to procure initially, and to keep supplied. They’re generally just full of hobby batteries, so they can be built quickly and cheaply as well.
100% crack pipe. There are soooo many better choices from soooo mony different manufacturers and eras for $25,000.
Is there any reason BMW wants to keep producing cars that no one is going too purchase in the next 3-9, or perhaps 18 months?
Respectfully, this study is shit. They only analyze Android and CarPlay without analyzing various manufacturer systems. IMO, CarPlay and Android are lightyears better than any manufacturer system I’ve seen.
It will. Americans love their tall station wagons.
The proportions are all off.
V8 would be a huge differentiator. The 2.7 gets caught between the 3.6 and 4 pot from FCA.
I’ve owned a 71 CJ5, 01 Wrangler, 04 Wrangler, and now have a 12 JKUR. All with 3 pedals. We were considering either a new Wrangler, probably the plug-in hybrid, or perhaps another manual.
Great post - We need more info on this garage!
Volvo really spearheaded Swedish minimalism and materials with the current XC90.
Jeep has the Wrangler market all by itself and is printing money with them. Competition will only make FCA improve the Wrangler.
I am really digging the LEDs carried into the front fender, especially if they’re going to be the turn signals as well. It is hard to execute new styling elements and they did a wonderful job. Expect other manufacturers to copy this.
An EV race truck makes sense - lots of room for batteries in the bed.
The ol’”spend $10 in gas to save $2 on a tank of gas method.
I have a V-Wagon. I love it. However, I recognize that SUVs and crossovers are currently the vehicles that print money. As long as Cadillac continues to make sedans and (please!) wagons that share platforms with the CUVs, I think they are going to make it.
