This whole trade war is the biggest non-conflict international loss by the US in memory. At the end of the day, all it did was to impose large taxes (tariffs) on American consumers with no discernible benefit because - at best - it appears we just reset to the trade situation pre-tariffs.

This interior is lame and reminds me of a donk that has been customized with the interior and exterior promoting a brand such as “Lucky Charms” or “Skittles”

Prediction:

This is going to be sold before the end of the day, if it truly is in good mechanical condition.  These aren’t as good as the 04-07 variants, but they’re still great cars that are fairly reliable, comfortable, and easy to work on.

Anyone else remember when Benz sold cars that, while they might be powerful, were always classy?

Respectfully, the holy grail Grand Cherokee will always be the Trackhawk.  Completely different animal, sure, but “holy grail” sort of implies “cost doesn’t matter.”

First, Tesla will sell plenty of “cyber trucks” (still not sure they actually call it that) to Tesla fans and folks who want to get into the Tesla image-sphere, but they’re unlikely to sell many trucks to people who either need to do truck stuff (haul, tow, etc.) or who bought a truck because they have enormous

I have white seats, including alcantara in my V-Wagon.  They are wonderful and not difficult to keep clean.

At some point, the owner of a car has a duty, because the car has become art more than it is a car. That point is rarely reached, but in the case of an 80s SUV, this Cherokee is at that point because almost all of them were used up well before the millennium and very few are in reasonable condition, let alone mint

TO be fair, they’re supposed to be functional above all else.  I’m not saying they executed the functional part correctly, only that it was the goal.

Now playing

I’d love to see someone run a computer simulation and then laugh when the best computer time was still behind Senna.

Most $100,000 cars are just a flex.  Whether it is a G-wagon, 911, Model S, or Taycan, there is always a better “value” car out there, meaning the purchase isn't about transportation, it is about the flex.

Screw going after individuals and businesses that have 8-10 figures in assets, we can go after low hanging fruit instead!

Almost every major power train and suspension comment on that thing had a Ford part number.

Agreed. I though Geely was going to just make cheap versions that pimped the Volvo name. All they really did was bring a bunch of money while telling Volvo designers and engineers to be Volvo designers and engineers.

The heavy, complicated cars are fine, so long as they allow Lotus to keep developing Elise/Exige/Evora/Esprit types of cars.

Manual or GTFO

The hair dryer is really good.
