and their manufacturing blew

Sounds like a sport bike...idle then BAM 8,000 RPM

The large grills are gonna look really dated as grill-less EVs take over in the coming years.

Wait, another tech company that sells premium priced products has realized that making cars is realllllly hard and abandoned the EV market?  Designing them is hard.  Building a prototype is hard.  Testing them is harder.  Manufacturing them, however is many times more difficult than the first 3.

That is a lot of money for a car with those specs...

Damn.  It looked good before, but this raised the bar significantly.

If Volvo executes this relatively well, they will sell the fuck out of them.  Cute ‘utes are a expanding market.  EVs are an expanding market.  Add in Volvo’s style and comfort and you may end up with a huge winner.

Self driving trucks may ultimately be what leads us towards the driverless car revolution.  It will start with point to point on certain highways, with driver’s getting in the cabs for complex highways and cities.  Then it will move to all driverless, except for cities.  It is simply much easier to program a vehicle

They are gonna sell more of these in a year than they would in any previous 3 year period.  Book it.

To be fair, do modern Bentley’s ever win races?

Volvo has had the ability to do this for about 5 years. They haven’t released it because it is fucking irresponsible to do so.

BMW seems to be focusing on selling high volume “wannabe” cars and crossovers while only paying tribute to performance on M models, while allowing other manufacturers to use its drivetrains for sporty cars.

I swear I am not making this up:

It had better come with $10,000 in free service for $12,900.

Modelo is a sponsor - there is a reason they used the name

The IIHS tests are wonderful because they go past simple NHTSA type safety tests and go into other tests that typically result in claims. The insurers are wanting info with which to rate risks and they’re not opposed to it advancing safety as a byproduct.

Wait - is the Panda smaller than the 500?

FYI, once the cabin door closes, the head flight attendant is the rule of law on the plane.

I think pseudo van life is the key - outfit a cheaper, reliable van that works for you for short-medium length getaways, but keep a cheap apartment (or AirBnB when you’re gone) for when you get tired of Vanlife.  There is nothing stopping you from having 3 screens for your work, you’ll just have to have a generator

It was a smart move for Mazda to wait for the tech to mature before hopping in on the EV train. They simply don’t have the funds to be leading the charge with new tech.
