I think this is akin to the folks that like to leave the stickers on their Flat Brim cap.

That is why tracks like Spa, Redbull Ring, Hungary, Spain, are so fun to watch. They land isn’t leveled flat and then artificially built up. The track snakes across the natural terrain and through the forests or the natural landscape. Even if they end up being a Mercedes procession, watching the cars circulate is fun…
They handled it like a professional organization. Ferrucci chose his choice, made his mistake, and the team made their decision. No need to to start a hashtag over it. And of course the GP2 team fired him immediately. If a new hire came into your business and wrecked 2 million worth of your equipment, would you keep…
Very fair. The messaging is just all sorts of wrong. To me, these two models are the equivalent of an M Sport or a S4. Like you said, the performance brands will probably end up being a V+ or VR to match their current race team branding. However, they force the consumer to make the assumption. Nothing is communicated…
Star for you. Came to post the same thing. Its possible more people that would shop a 335 or A4 S Line will consider these models. Much more approachable from my point of view.
I believe Indycar or CART used to run at the Trapezoid oval at the now defunct Jacarepagua circuit. It would be cool to see them come back down there and run at any of the tracks, maybe even Interlagos.
We will need to pay attention to how the Aero package works in addition to the tapered spacer. The cars were getting aero tight at Martinsville doing 65 mph at apex. Running in a huge pack with the splitters and spoilers throwing air everywhere might mean grip is at a premium and well see more of the typical single…
It was so disappointing. I don’t need a $53k Traverse. Classic GM back to being Classic GM. I want Caddy to win, I do, but I don’t believe there are enough stupid people to pay the premium for the Caddy over a GMC Acadia Denali or a fully spec’d Traverse. All you get is some new badges and refined sheet metal.
Fair point. Even with VW’s 6 year 72000 mile bumper to bumper program, no one wants to drop their car off every 3 to 6 months for the entire time they own the vehicle. My Brother has one, has loved it so far, well see if he runs into any issues.
Some of the most stunning sights in all of racing as that sun comes up, flames spitting, exhaust cracking, it’s a gift from the racing Gods. Many PC wall paper worthy shots come out of this race.
So what you are saying is you want a great car that happens to be electric, not an electrified mobility solution. Why reinvent the wheel?
We can only hope. The CTS and ATS were going to cut down the Germans, but execution on the interior just couldn’t keep up even if the performance was spot on. Do we have faith that Caddy can execute top to bottom and fully compete?
Was also hoping for a “making these trucks and trailers just strong enough to move your mom” joke. Apparently comments are much more sophisticated and classy in 2019.
Agreed. It seemed like every single race was lost by the time the pit cycle was concluded. Seemed like they always managed to make the wrong call and were burned by the undercut again and again.
Bravo! I think the folk in the country side could unite behind this new national treasure. For the symbol, maybe a Capri? Or an XJ6?
I can imagine a uber rich Smokey and the Bandit AHEM, I meant James and his servant, where James is out front in his Wraith and servant is in back with the Cullinan carrying all the stuff.
There is a bubbling resurgence of vintage karts. There are actually two groups on the east coast that I know of that race karts from ‘89 on back. Mostly patronized by those that grew up as kids racing karts and wanting to get back into it on the machinery they once loved. Roached out chassis from behind barns are…
It would be a great idea. If they can run longer stints and make the tires last longer than the next team, they will surely have to worry about the success ballast.
That will certainly help bring people to the lot!
That is a tall task. That Blue Oval seems to have a strangle hold on its market share. I would think that buyers would be wary of more moving parts and electronic hocus pocus with the TT V6's in some of the Fords. More stuff to fix vs bullet proof tried and true V8 lunks that seem to be the high take rate in the GM…
