Oh thank god. I was starting to get pissed because I didn’t see a Trump post on Jalopnik in 38 hours. I was worried there were going to be more posts about Cars and the auto industry and such.

I thought it screamed current gen Subary Legacy. Those side strakes are all the rage right now.

Worth taking a look at a 2.0T (and a few 321 hp 3.6) RWD ATS in Performance Trim? Lots of sub 50k mile examples available in the 20-25 range. Most with the warranty still alive. Enough power, 4 doors, well balanced handling. And it just barely babies, as I can attest. Won’t have to ditch once you get hitched.

Blogs are not exactly journalism. We have to take the good with the bad. We love a good story about a $120 engine swap, the myth about german reliability, then hate the story of an Anti-Trumper reporting through the filter of his own personal opinion. Its the new norm. It gets clicks. If we don’t like it, we stop

Agreed. Flat open recess space around the license plate in the picture matches what you show here.

Radio LeMans is fantastic. They always have so many key facts about the teams and the homologation rules and history that I learn listening to their broadcast. I think I am going to have to make sure I am streaming their feed or buy a Sirius XM kit for the house or the app for my phone so I can listen to their

My ATS lease is up in 2018. Baby stuff takes up too much space. Prime wagon shopping time. Very excited for this news. No crossover beigemobile for me.

First Gear: Why not be the change you want to see in the world? As I slump over my keyboard and review spreadsheets and plug away in online applications telling my bosses which client needs to have this widget corrected or negotiation this contract, I think “wouldnt getting paid to help people pick the best car be a

Everyone needs that Dakota Armstrong or Matt Tift money! Last figures I heard were $250K a race for a JGR, JR Motorsports, or RCR xfinity race. When most sponsors in the field get a 5k return on their investment, you would expect that bubble to burst. I don’t think it will for top rides. Even if the sponsors stop

Well yes, obviously. I am simply saying leave the LIS off of post race. It seems to cause more drama than it helps. The teams have already found a way around it, and they aren’t doing anything about the teams that do end up getting caught. Obviously there are items to tech. Teams are smart (well, JGR, SHR, and Penske

That is exactly it. The cars are build to move and adjust the toe so the car can run in yaw. This sticks that RR corner out more for side force. You can then run a mechanically free set up and use the side force from keeping the car from getting loose. It is all done on purpose. NASCAR has some decisions to make on

Along the lines of the redirected rage, brother in law is a Fire Fighter. They get called to overdoses when it happens. When he administered the Narcan on one emergency call, the subject woke up and then cussed him out for ruining his high. I am assuming this is the type of story your Nurse friends hear about. I

I thought I read at one point in the past that Bernie effectively sold F1 out from under the sport. Something about inventing the media package out of thin air and selling the rights to these venture firms when the rights weren’t necessarily his to sell. Seems like you are in the know, is there any truth to that? Did

Strange I know. The opening of the trunk is not tall enough to swallow our obnoxiously large folding stroller. This is the kind where the rear facing car seat clicks into it, and it has a matching base that you buckle into the anchors in the back seat. I can fit the 3 month old, 9 year old, and 40lb dog in the back

3) Is all of a sudden a very important question. My ATS will not fit our ginormous unnecessary stroller in the trunk. Two kids and a dog is not what it was designed to carry. It makes me smile, but it is no longer what we need. Hoping a hatch like the GTI could swallow the stroller.

I love it. Its a nod to the huge pre war land yachts like Delahaye, Cord, Duesenberg or Bugatti. They are going for that ultra rich old money vibe and I think it plays the part very well.

Could it be that this car has a full or 6 pt cage in it? Looking through that windshield makes me think it does.

Very nice write up Sir.

The 12C and the 650 cost that much right? I thought this was supposed to be the “Entry level McLaren” on par with the California. Something just touching the 200K mark? I mean dupont has most of then in the 300K range but I guess I just never really paid attention.

I have heard that when you win the race, that’s one of the reasons you do a burn out. During your run back to victory lane, you jam the car in reverse to help straighten the toe settings back out. Not sure what might have happened during the “unofficial post race procedure”, but those toe settings never moved back.
