Meanwhile, Smash Ultimate, while it has characters that are weaker than others, has made it so no one or two characters dominate the metagame. Fuck, Pokémon Trainer, of all characters, almost won the whole thing.

Every main stage game at EVO being dominated by like, 10 percent of the games’ overall character rosters is pretty damn boring.

I know people wanted more from this game, especailly since Arc Sys was involved. But we all knew what this was, an unbalanced 3D anime arena fighter.

That isnt to say you couldnt want more, but it is a little strange to see people expecting Super Dragon Ball Z when its clearly going for Ultimate Ninja Storm.

Who wrote this for you man? This is a garbage take. Multiplayer games are designed to be FUN.

They are just writing this nonsense to try and get clicks this is how outrage media works. I’m sure they are also sad they don’t get invited to any of this sort of thing since the “journalism” they put forth is quite hilarious.

I’m not sure what this piece is trying to say. I can’t think of any big budget games that had a compelling, realistic campaign and that somehow was in lock step with MP. MP is always about just playing a damn video game and having some fun with others. Battlefield 1 has a pretty realistic take on the horrors of war,

Content as in stuff to do other than take pictures, not really. Definitely not anything worth flying out there for unless you’re an explorer. Exploration itself pays you credits for scanning bodies and discovering things, but the bodies and systems you’re scanning are all procedurally generated.

My theory all along has been that Sonic was intentionally made to be somewhat grotesque because the spectacle of such a disaster would attract more attention and coverage.

I am completely in on this because it’s weird and different and it has creator cred so I don’t feel I’m getting Ouya-ed for my $150.

I think it was the Mighty No 9 effect, that game had a pretty bad graphics....all through out and i cannot blame people for speaking out about the game.

“Two, make sure you have plenty of work stations for the Villagers. “

bullshit... we had cheat codes for that shit back in the day, not to mention the game genie.

In this case the amount of time you would have to dedicate to unlock things is very unreasonable. Every reviewer is saying the same thing and the Towers of Time, another way to unlock character specific gear, was so unfair most people gave up on it. That’s why you saw the devs push out a server side patch to fix the

That’s over simplifying things. Many would like to earn it in game, but also have the game respect the players time. Not everyone can spend multiple hours a day grinding RNG just hoping to get the item you want for a particular character.

People want to be able to play the game and unlock the tings they want, but want the amount of time to exist in some reasonable realm, the method for unlocking to be mostly deterministic, the ability to unlock not to be gated by some “event schedule”, want grinding to be contained on games built around grinding, and

There’s a reason Valve takes a comparatively larger margin from sales. They didn’t practically set many standards in the gaming industry from nothing. With all those spiffy features we’ve gotten for free from Steam (API’s, cloud saves, etc), on top of managing storefronts in several countries (including taking the

Essentially admitting that exclusivity deals are due to some pissing match between them and Valve rather than being anywhere near an attempt at being pro-consumer.

There should be a separate, equally visceral animation for people who have to step away from a match because their kid just woke up crying with a diaper full of poo.

More games need to embarrass rage quitters.
This is something I hope catches on.
