That awesome moment someone on a video game blog is a better investigative journalist this half the media in the nation. Anyway, I believe he is lying(it’s obvious) but I don’t say that to be mean to him. I wonder what was his reason for doing something like this? It seems very strange. I hope this gets an update.

Look, there are two kinds of multiplayer. There’s level-playing field multiplayer, and there’s grind/pay-to-win multiplayer. The latter sucks, 100%, full-stop for anyone with any kind of limited gaming time. In the past, I’ve enjoyed the latter, but I’m at a life stage where I’m all-in on the former. So yes, it is a

Overwatch, Rocket League, PubG, CS - there are plenty of them.

I don’t know too many multiplayer games like that...

And 43 poor souls that gave in to the temptation of the dark side.

Also reminder: Other information pointed to these unlocked being priced lower like this in the copies reviewers received. So they either faked the cost so reviewers would have a false impression, or raised the costs rather recently because they thought they could.

So you’re part of the problem, then.

I don’t have a gambling problem, I do have a problem with f2p mechanics in a game which costs money. I’m not an idiot, these things make money so companies will put them in, I get that. I personally won’t buy games that do, and regard the people that buy them and ruin gaming by doing so, as dicks. Not sure what’s hard

we’re getting all the content for free $60.

So this is the power of nearly half a million downvotes on reddit.

Sorry, but this whole multiplayer system is garbage, take the micro-transactions out completely and its still garbage. They need to trash the whole card system if they want to get me in.

To be clear: seven hours of grind isn’t structurally bad. Seven hours of grind (or any amount of engineered grind) which you’re encouraged to lessen with extra purchases in a $60 game is bad.

Good. We need to keep pushing back against this bullshit. We can stop the game industry become this cesspit of shady gambling tactics and micro transactions if we actually try. We need to apply more pressure or they’ll keep pushing the limits of what they can get away with.

“Look guys, we changed it so it’s less bad. We’re the good guys now!” No you’re fucking not. It’s still a grindfest so you can sell lootboxes. Everyone who pre-orders this/buys this in the first month is a dick for enabling them.

Oh look, here’s the response to all the people telling everyone to “quit whining.” Less grind = good. Letting publishers/devs know what you want = good (not that that always makes you right, but communication is good). Is this enough change? Who knows, but at least it’s a step in the right direction.

Reminder:

The problem is that, by the way shadow of mordor went, this is the same direction single player games will go if gamers keep buying this shit. Take 2 has almost confirmed microtransactions on the next red dead redemption. This is the future gamers are buying into...

Characters? I watched people stream it and all the heroes were locked. No sure where you go your info from but please link us. They were 40 to 60 thousand credit to unlock per.

I’m typically the type of person who would agree with sentiments related to medias misrepresentation/non-representation of minorities throughout history, especially as it impacts modern minority audiences. But this argument is sort of insane. If Cuphead is responsible to educate us about the racist past of these early
