To me it seems like a situation where Frontier had a specific idea for how this story with these aliens to go, and didn’t want to adapt to how quickly players were figuring out and adapting (people figured out how to solo these things in like two days).

No. The devs said the aliens were becoming resistant. But the game mechanic is exactly the opposite.

Also, the missiles were extremely effective against... human ships. Yeah, they completely broke both PvE and PvP balance. No amount of flavor text can mask the fact that they royally screwed up.

They fucking goofed. FDev always says things are ‘working as intended’ just like when The Engineers was released and NPCs were going around with bugged weapons that could hull any ship in one shot.

I was with you until you said “now.” Xenophobia was an evolutionary advantage in early hominids, which is why it’s continued to be part of the human species to this day. If anything, it’s slowly working its way out of our social structures - witness the vast global trade network that could not have existed in earlier

Now playing

There are definitely factions, or at the very least some Thargoids simply act dramatically different. Some attack without provocation, some attack if you get too close, some attack if you’re carrying certain items... And some just don’t give half a fuck. [Warning: more than a little objectionable language during the

Yes, but a real game.

Sony always do this to early adapters.

i knew everyone’s constant complaining would lead to an extremely plain and dumbed down sequel. sad. I got the game for free and couldn’t play more than an hour. it’s boring. I actually preferred the MMO vibe and they should have dug deeper into that

After a few weeks of playing, I’ve decidede to stop playing Destiny 2, because it feels to me like it’s lost more than it gained. Every legendary weapon is the same. Exotics drop like free Halloween candy, which was admittedly a problem as soon as they introduced the Three of Coins mechanic in Destiny 1, but that was

Not only will they start to charge for what used to be free updates (remember horse combat and magic/arrow killcams) now they want to charge money through a ridiculous points currency that you can only buy in tiered packages. People online keep asking for an elder scrolls 6 but I am not so sure we are going to like

Dick is too good for Bethesda, they can eat a steaming turd.

What a fucking joke. Six years later and you have to pay for it if you don’t get it in the first week? You can eat a raw dick, Bethesda.

Not really. Chinese Room, before they were known, right, sold about 870k units of Dear Esther. Which is currently free. I’m assuming it probably had a cost earlier in its life, but whatever. “Landmark Edition” has about the same.

i GUESS YOU COULD SAY

People are idiots. They think because a few textures and meshes were changed it’s a remake. No, that means it’s a remaster. A remake is changing far more than just graphics.

Lol, “gamers” are dead.

I agree that those people are ridiculous; but I think it’s valid to be angry at games that actively waste your time through addictive mechanics without having enough content to back them up. I fell into an addiction hole on Diablo 3, for example, and lost two years of my life to it without even enjoying myself for
