You’re right, it’s pretty blatant. The life bar and stamina bar are the same, the font choices are the same and even the shape and placement of UI elements is the same. I remember a few years ago there was a minor trend of creating “Demakes,” where hobbyist developers would create 2-d oldschool interpretations of

And my guess is that we’ll see the release of Eitr (or more importantly Dark Souls 3) before either of these.

Can anyone give me any reason why they’re interested in this game? They’ve been releasing these “trailers” for a while now and they convey nothing about the game other than the visual design. From what I’ve been able to gather it’s essentially a low-fi Dark Souls knockoff, but is there more to it than that?

“Sensible” = “like a man.”

Nice try.

Prime is more of a remake than a sequel. It’s all the same content as the original just with different graphics and some feature tweaks.

Oh my god. ENOUGH with the food metaphors. They’re the weakest, dumbest, least-relevant thing you could possibly compare to gaming. Eating a steak is nothing like playing a game, and the work that goes into sourcing, preparing, and serving a steak is NOTHING like the work that goes into making a game. And and and!

Yeah if anything this is the opposite of the wii - it’s super high-end, cutting-edge tech being sold to an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic subset of an established type of customer for a very high price, and it’s a solitary experience. Everybody’s grandma isn’t going to have a VR rig in the next year and it’s

The visual style *is* absolute dogshit, yes. The source material isn’t very good either, though, so idunno which is worse. But yeah, the game definitely *looks* really really stupid.

You’re right and that’s the point. Too many games offer nothing of interest once you’ve moved through one area, making backtracking tedious and lame. The solution is to make the game world more dynamic and interesting. If your game has to have fast-travel, it means your slow travel sucks.

Really? We’re gonna go down the whole “you’re being poor wrong” path? We’ve reached the point where you think it’s more responsible and financially savvy for a poor person to have a smartphone than a computer with an internet connection? Your premise is disgusting but even if I accept your premise, your reasoning is

That’s why I was confused. Zelda is already like Dark Souls *and* Dark Souls isn’t random. So I don’t get why *adding* a randomized to Zelda would make it more like Dark Souls, a game which doesn’t have a randomizer. If anything it would make it *less* like Dark Souls.

If you’re afraid to login to minecraft through a 3rd party launcher I’ve got nothing for you, but all your other reasons are wrong. I’m not sure when was the last time you tried playing with mods, but things are much, much, better than they’ve ever been.

It’s unbelievably easy to play modded minecraft if you play mod-packs. Download the FTB launcher, input your minecraft login and password, pick any modpack you want to play and press launch. It auto-downloads and installs everything and you’re good to go. It’s no different from installing and playing every video game

“. . . add the ability for user created mods through their own API soon . . . ,”

Title says “best video game shotguns,” but you did only FPS. I respectfully submit for your approval:

They’re there. Watch it again. Again. Again. Ok I’ll watch it for you.

When the whole butt-slap censorship thing happened I was disappointed in Capcom’s cowardly decision; but upon seeing this clip, I now realize it’s sick filth which must be banned at any cost.

That’s exactly the point. Games aren’t necessary. They don’t matter. They are trivial and common, and that means you’re going to have a hell of a time convincing large groups of people to spend more money on them. And people aren’t assholes if they don’t see the value in your $20 game, or feel that they can get the
