It’s a corner the devs backed themselves into, somewhat intentionally. As a F2P game there’s got to be a steady stream of new content to keep players excited. And there are only a finite number of historical vehicles to include. In order to keep extending the size of the tech trees (and keep players grinding ad

It’s a very common theory and for good reason-- War Thunder is developed by Gaijin Entertainment, a Russian game dev. So the optics are always quite suspicious.

As somebody who plays War Thunder, these incidents are sadly understandable. The game is sold on Historical Accuracy(TM) and the devs encourage people to find documents on the specifications of historical vehicles to make changes to their performance in-game. The game features modern vehicles now, too, and of course

I was here for this comment

Small note as of November 2020: There are Toyotas in Forza Horizon 4 now. Not a huge amount, but a few!

It’s certainly close, but this overall form factor seems like it’s pretty common among supercar designs right now. There are some differences between this and that design, but it’s possible that it’s a coincidence... maybe.

One could argue that their massive dev/publisher acquisitions are a step towards that.

Large amphibious aircraft like this are particularly useful to the military. The civilian applications you mentioned— SAR and tankers— can be fulfilled by less-specialized aircraft, or by smaller flying boats that are more widely available. For the most part, there isn’t much incentive to build large amphibious

It’s not quite the same, but Sky Rogue is in 3d and has a similar arcade style.

I mean, the Redhorn Republic always did make iconic vehicles.

I would agree that they know it. The question is if they can actually deliver. I’m cautiously optimistic.

It’s actually not the first time that a movie titled “Sonic the Hedgehog” featured an owl that’s not from the games sending Sonic on an adventure:

So Crush 40 is going to do a cover of this right?

GSC usually does a great job, interesting to see that they have the Fortnite license now. If they produce a Figma, do you think they would start with Cuddle Team Leader or someone else?

You do realize that this is likely portfolio stuff that he probably doesn’t “profit” off of at all, right?

The Devel Sixteen is about as legit as one of those 3D design students’ “future Ferrari/Lamborghini” renders that crop up every couple of months.

Similarities in design, too-- both big, bulky evil bald guys. Both have weirdo science-y head gadgets. Both have eye scars that show that they’re eeevil. Green color scheme.

The image is actually of the Lun-class ekranoplan, which was armed with anti-ship missiles and defensive autocannons in both the tail and forward turrets.

The Caspian Sea Monster itself is completely unarmed, and looks like this:
