Man, i used to watch Maher every week, but it just kept getting worse and worse I just had to stop. He really emerged as his truest self after he got Covid, and since he personally didn’t get it that bad, immediately took the stance that everyone was overreacting and it was stupid that he couldn’t have a full studio

I thought the first-gen cloud cars had one of the nicest interiors for the time. There was just something pleasing about them to me. 16-year-old me in 1997 wanted a Breeze reaaal bad.

...and Inferno Red Crystal Pearlcoat sounds like something Jesse Pinkman cooked up for Walter White.

Wow. My story is similar. I had one as a rental during a ski trip in the Canadian Rockies. The handling and room impressed me. Got over-confident on a frozen road and had an “oh sh*t!” moment, but the car quickly and easily regained it’s composure. I got a low-mileage used 97 Stratus 2.0 5-speed, in this color combo.

I have a 2010 with 280K on it. The 2010-2011s with the 2.5 were so much better than the 2.4s and their oil burning.  I keep saying I’m gonna drive it until the wheels fall off but those dam wheels keep turning.

I’m going to slightly amend your comment there. The number of times that brake failure is no big deal, is zero.

Yeah - 1996, the last year of the Camry wagon...with the twin wipers on back, and only 29k...that MIGHT be worth at least you know you’ll get another 271k out of it.

But, I bet changing them was....a breeze?

Well that’s a whole different story.

So, I was the guy that bought the Plymouth Breeze, nay, leased it in fact. I had driven one as a rental in Hawaii and actually liked it plus the price was right at the time. It was actually a great car and I had no problems with it other than a hood repaint that was part of a recall that they did for free.

A good friend of mine had the brakes go out on his Breeze twice. Once I was in the car and we were in a parking lot, so no big deal. The other he was driving on the highway. I thought both times were wheel cylinders exploding but Rob says 4 wheel discs above, so maybe I’m misremendering.

This car reminds me of the era when Chrysler taught Mercedes Benz how to build shitty cars.

Will Ferrell screaming “I drive a Dodge Stratus” is the only thing I could think of as soon as I saw the post. Well done.

v6 Camry wagon with the double rear wipers?

On one hand I’m happy this car came into existence. Because it was a cheap relatively economical form of transport for the lower and middle class.

It would be worth it for the meme. It might even be worth it for the car on it’s own merits.  It’s pretty nice, for what it is.  And if you’re going for the meme, might as well go all out.

I like it... and this is an examples of modding done the right way where it is a real improvement without compromising the character of the vehicle.

That car is pretty awesome.  I’m even ok with the grey this time, and I’m firmly in the “no grey cars please” camp.  Easy NP.

I voted NP. The new paint and black-out brightwork don’t work for me, but this is a nicely-restored MGB GT for an MG enthusiast.

Who would ND this?
