I’m expecting at least a dozen of these things to show up to the $2000 Challenge next time they run it.

No worries! I’ll have a how-to on this journey!
Just wait a few months when demand goes back to normal. I still would like somebody to do a group buy for these. LOL.
My — admittedly flawed — logic was that my three articles on the Honda Beat didn’t seem to change auction prices on those cars, so one article about vans probably wasn’t going to hurt.
Well, I appreciate it, and for the record: I’m pro-goat.
Connecting the dots on your posts (paraphrased):
Bless my J10's heart, but its engine makes 100 HP and sends it through 2.73 diffs...
Where did this come from? Lol!
Only 65,228 miles on it, rust free body.
There has to be a TV show, or at least a YouTube channel, where a deranged man goes around to repair old vehicles and flip them for profit. The old Wheeler Dealer with Edd China was probably the closest (and bestest) show that comes to mind. This show would add the component of a sketchy drive cross-country, although…
After all of this Toyota Reliability bragging, I’m going to do essentially NOTHING to this vehicle other than change the fluids.
Then I’m going to drive it 5,000 miles, and tow with it.
There’s NO WAY it will handle that flawlessly. I don’t believe it. 275k!
David, if you ever make it down to Florence, Y’all you can drive my unicorn of an F-150 I just bought sight unseen and drove back from North Carolina.
I worked for a sketchy used car place in the late 80s/90s and once we had 3 of these- the coupes I was driving one and all the electrics failed, walked to a gas station and phoned the boss, waited an hour and he showed up with a towtruck already towing one of our other ones that had a driveshaft fail the third one was…
For me, it started when Stef Schrader left. She was a car nut, a happy soul, and a good writer. After that, it seemed the flood gates were opened for departures. I’m happy she has found a home elsewhere.
I clicked ND, but after your post I’m now craving some barbecue...
I want nothing to do with this, but it is a nice price.
Maserati Biturbo: the car you buy if you want to make a YouTube car restoration series that never ends. Part 167: fixing what we fixed in parts 57, 88, and 123. Next episode: fixing what we fixed three years ago in part 15, last year in part 110, and three weeks ago in part 155.
If this is the car you want, it’s technically a nice price. I doubt you’ll find a Biturbo in nicer condition, and it’s not a bad car.
My son bought this MX-3 last summer for $1200. New mexico car, rust free, engine needs to be replaced, but until that happens, oil is cheap. And it made it from Albuquerque to the East Coast.
A little bit of a stretch, but I bet $1500 takes this one. Radwood here we come!
