And if you increased the map size to accommodate more titans, pilots would be left out in the cold. Being able to dart in and out of ally ways and onto rooftops is part of what balances Pilots in the first place.

The map can get pretty crowded when you have more than two Titans congregating in one place. A single Titan duel can quickly attract more people, and it can turn into a giant clusterfuck really quickly.

I believe that's the name of the next Game of Thrones book.
