The reason the ads are so freaking weird and involve so many farts is the exact same reason all those AI generated “kids” videos exist on youtube.  Im pretty sure there was a story on this site or some other about those things.

I unironically enjoy the Mechanic Simulator (the original, yearly named ones) and the Farming Simulator (again, named yearly, by GIANTS) games.  They zen out my brain with the gentle grind toward unlocking new “toys” to use in your job.

People sometimes play games to try out new things. Sometimes they play games to live in a fun fantasy world for a while to forget about this one. A world where the cops follow the rules and actually get punished for doing wrong sounds like a pretty intriguing fantasy.

According to another website that had more information, the NSFW content in question, and why a profanity filter fixed the problem, was Anti-semetic named content. Nude mods and the like wouldnt show up in an un-modded gallery, so thats not what it was about.

The “digital version” of RDR (if it was for sale) and the PSNow streaming version are two different things. You didnt buy PSNow games, you subscribed to a rotating library.
