Yeah, japanese games used to be full of this.  Just completely unnecessary info that didnt affect anything, and was always kinda weird.  It had a certain charm.

Theres not enough oxygen in the system for gas tanks to ignite from a bullet round.   This was on a mythbusters episode.  You would need to put holes in and aerate the gasoline first, then wait, and then try to get an optimal ignition source which would need to be way more constant than a single spark from metal-metal…

They arent going to do TOO much about players attacking you, since “players ruining your mission” is actually the goal of most of the missions.  The game is set up like APB almost, where players are actively sent against your mission progress.
