Same here man, VW really lost their way. I was a die-hard MKIV/MKIII fan, but now their whole lineup is vanilla.

No its not too small, and no knock. Its all about the supporting exhaust mods. Its tuned and has the colder plugs. Timing has been advanced quite a bit tho. I have seen some use as small as 2.6.

HAHAH actually its funny you say this. There was a recall on my Grand Prix to replace the oil filler neck. It sits right above the front manifold, and would leak oil. I have seen it smoke and once actually flare up. GM issued a recall about 4 years ago.
